I'm not sure how I feel about the idea that Legolas was secretly in love with Arwen, but I like the way you've written this. I especially like the use of Byron's poem at the beginning and for the title - those lines really do seem to describe Arwen, even though obviously that wasn't the original intent.

A nice moment. I like the first person point of view. How hard to be friend to both Aragorn and Arwen and have to let her go.
