That was lovely. I found the link on unfound_gems on the live journal and I am very glad I did. This is a lovely story and I like Sam recalling falling in love with Rose. It was very sweet.

yesm fir sam there has been many good memories of curls (and ribbons), he had many hopes and dreams tied up with this hobbitess and should thank her often and well,,, of course he seems to have done a really good job of that.

I remember reading this long ago-- I had printed it out with other stories to read on my lunch break at work, and I never got around to come back and tell you just how lovely it was! Such a tender and loving moment, beautifully captured.

You have such a talent for writing the most beautiful romances. This one was so simple, but lovely at the same time. I loved the parallel between Sam caring for his developing relationship with Rose in the same way he cared for his garden. Such a beautiful analogy!

Glad you liked it a lot, Pervinca! I do think of Sam as caring for his loved ones with the same care & nurturing that he devotes to his flowers--it's one of the ways he might express the deep love he has. Regina
