*claps* I read this the day it was published, but forgot to review. *smacks wrist* But here I am! I love the way you write hobbits, particularly post-War. You manage to capture that innate innocence around them, but still imprint the wisdom/hurt their toils have brought. This is most evident in your Frodo. More specific to this story, I think you've set it up exceedingly well. *glowers at Galadriel* And so she should feel guilty! I like the way you've managed to twist Tolkien's own words enough to wring a unique Plot Bunny from them. Am interested to see where this will go, particularly with Gríma and Frodo. By the end of ROTK, I always thought of Wormtongue as a new Gollum, to a certain extent. It shall be intriguing to see how their interactions pan out.

Hi there! FFnet is being stingy once again, so I'm reviewing here. This is off to a great start - but that's no surprise. You're always opening my eyes to new perspectives I never considered before. It is true that Frodo had to train himself to dominate, not only Gollum, but the temptation of the Ring as well. But he still isn't prepared for all that the Ring has done to him. And Saruman's on the loose, ready to do damage? Can't wait to see what happens next. Oh, and I just finished Havoc in Hollin - lol. Pippin Frog and Legolas Frog! That was hilarious! I can just picture the expression on Merry's face when Gandalf put that frog in his hands. Yes, you definitely don't want to tick off a wizard!

"There may be no end to that of which the hobbits are capable." That's why we all write their continuing stories. We know Tolkien would have but he ran out of time. “You did not win the entire war by yourself, Peregrin,” Merry was saying quietly. “Yes, I did,” came Pippin’s sleepy voice." We Pippin fans have known this a long time, we've just had trouble convincing others of the truth ;) I eagerly await the rest of this story. It's a facinating idea.

Oooo, this looks interesting. I'm excited to see what happens. (I enjoyed the referance to Legolas, btw, that made me smile :) -LM

how beautiful and sad. With everything Frodo has gone through, he has to bear this as well. He will be able to endure it, I imagine. What a wonderful story and waiting for more.

Oh, darn! I thought this was another of your one-chapter deals! I'm hanging in there, though! This is off to a fantastic start (as always!). This is going on my alerts. Take care. Pippinfan

I think this has the best beginning of anything you've written so far...I am intrigued. Now that I'm reading the Silmarillion, and understanding perhaps a bit more about the Elves and their history, it's fascinating to see how their lives intertwined with those of Men, and now of hobbits. I wondered that sometimes, if Frodo was on the same "frequency" as the other Ringbearers... You're growing up, Shirebound, this is a frightening trend. :-)

Elwen · 12 March 2004 · Chapter 1: The Three

Awwww. Elrond carried Frodo. :) This looks as though it's going to be a very interesting and entertaining tale . . . as I've come to expect from you.

Arwen Baggins · 12 March 2004 · Chapter 1: The Three

Perhaps I should read The Silmarillion before continuing this. Chapters 9 and 15, you say. Okay, I'm right on it. It never once occured to me that Frodo would be able to read Galadriel's mind. But, there you have it, you just answered I was having a problem with in planning "More than Mithril" thanks!

Very mysterious and inviting! I feel like I'm travelling new ground here in a fic, which I just love. I am so happy to be back with "your" hobbits. I just love them. You have such a wonderful touch with angst, strength, care and fun. Please give us lots of tender Frodo-Sam interaction . . . I still love them the best after all these years. Thanks for giving us another story!

Iorhael · 12 March 2004 · Chapter 1: The Three

Ah, I always enjoy your story and this one seems to be well-thought of. I'm curious to know what will happen next!

I'm not usually into AU's, at least not ones that deviate *too* much from canon, but you've hooked me. More, please!
