awwwwwwwwwwwww...how cute, a little Merry!!!!!!!! What a sweet little hobbit story, but poor Frodo seeing little Merry fall in the water like that!!! I would have been having a humongous panic attack!!!! Phew, let's just hope it never happens =)

Very nice! A story with a smile for an ending. I was laughing at stubborn little Merry in the beginning, even though he was being infuriating (very real!). Your characterisations of Esmeralda and Saradoc ring true; I liked them and can see why Merry turned out so well, with such parents raising him.

Awe, that was really good. Poor Frodo, I really felt for him when he saw Merry fall into the water, it must have been very hard, especially after what happened to his parents. Lil' Merry was just perfect, as was this story. Well done.
