melilot hill · 26 May 2004 · Chapter 17: A Fool's Hope

I like those moments between Pippin and Gandalf and you described this really beautifully! (I loved the other scribblings too)

Esamen · 26 May 2004 · Chapter 16: Bonfire of the Vanities

"foot fur" . . . "foot fur" !!!!! Way too funny! All bows and hurrahs for another gem from fanficmeister Baylor . . .

Dreamflower · 26 May 2004 · Chapter 17: A Fool's Hope

And *sigh* lovely. Puts me in mind of the last chapter of "Care and Feeding". I love Pippin-Gandalf scenes; you do them so beautifully. Thank you for this lovely little peice.

Dreamflower · 26 May 2004 · Chapter 16: Bonfire of the Vanities

And now you do it again! I can just see Sam's muttering and his grin; and you know he's just as fond of these two lads as Frodo is. Wonderful!

Dreamflower · 26 May 2004 · Chapter 15: No Cause for Alarm

Oh mercy! Oh please! This little vignette with nothing before and nothing after but the imagination is *brilliant*! You have an unparallelled way with my favorite hobbits!

ming eledhwen · 9 April 2004 · Chapter 4: Gamgees, Brandybucks and Tooks

Merry and Pippin “We really should of known better than to name those lads Merry and Pippin,” Sam said to Rose after one particularly difficult day. “Aye,” Rose agreed. Heehee! That pretty much says it all really ;)good chapter!

Grey Wonderer · 6 April 2004 · Chapter 9: Seasons

Here's a good plan, a Hobbit for every season. Who could ask for more?

Grey Wonderer · 6 April 2004 · Chapter 3: Five, Three, One

This one made me laugh out loud. Counting the babies named after them! I love your Merry and Pippin.

Grey Wonderer · 6 April 2004 · Chapter 1: The Discovery of Snow

If anyone could believe they had discovered snow, then it would be Pippin! So much fun.

Lossenchristal · 6 April 2004 · Chapter 14: O! Water Hot!

Baylor, I was suprised and delighted to find a entry by you on this site! Your stories were some of the first LOTR fan fiction I read, and I love them all! I have read Hankerchiefs and Mushrooms and I Always Know You, I don't know how many times, and I have read them to my younger sister as well. These "Scribblings" are no exception... sweet, funny, thoughtful.. I love them! Thanks so much for sharing your talent for writing with us!:) Namarië, ~Lossenchristal

PIppinfan1988 · 6 April 2004 · Chapter 13: Use Well the Days

This was a real treat to read, very wistful at heart--to me at least. Thank you for sharing.

PIppinfan1988 · 6 April 2004 · Chapter 4: Gamgees, Brandybucks and Tooks

Couldn't agree with you more on the case of the family trees. I'm sure you are aware Tolkien wrote that they--Merry and Pippin--left their books and offices to "their sons". He said there just wasn't enough room to write everybody's offspring in the Trees. I imagine Merry and Estella were quite 'productive'; in fact, I imagine them and Pippin & Diamond with many children. :-)

PIppinfan1988 · 6 April 2004 · Chapter 2: Each My Own

I enjoyed the relationship Briony has with her Took charges; sort of brings out how I feel about my own characters. I've read your stories with Briony in them--even *I'm* afraid of her! Oh, in chapter one, making 'snowhobbits'...cute!
