· Chapter 5: Delivering the Message
Ah, little bit of Leggy hurt and comfort! *sigh* Yes, that's me, contented and with a silly grin on my face! LOL Loved the brother interaction here! :)
Indeed, what *are* they going to do with Legolas to keep him safe when they go into battle!? There's no way Legolas will let himself be hidden away from danger. He will want to charge right in and be in the thick of things. Oooh, sounds like a good opportunity to inflict more Leggy owies! ;) Heh, heh!
Wow, this chapter moved fast! I could almost hear Legolas stumbling over his words in his haste to get his message out. LOL But I don't think Leggy is gonna get any serious rest if they are gonna move out in an hour. Hmmm, maybe he'll have to be carried by his brother if he does not wake? Poor him, ah, but, as they say, no rest for the weary! LOL
On to more action! Can't wait for you to ease my anxiety from *this* chappy with the next chappy! Hope you do it just as fast as you did the last one! ;) (HINT, HINT!) :)

The two older brothers will find their hands full with the princeling. Like you said, I don't think Legolas is the type to sit back and watch the action. He will want to be in the midst of it. The next chapter should be up soon. And yes, action will be coming soon.

· Chapter 4: Alone
No fair! No fair! >:( You left this chappy in a HORRIBLE place! Horrible I tell you! Awful, awful cliffy! You do plan on relieving this torture soon, do you not? I sure hope so!
Poor Leggy, he was doing so well to! Blasted spiders! Curse them, we curse them preciousssss, we do! Aaaaagh! I'm half hoping he gets himself out of that mess and the other half is hoping his brother and his watcher find him and lend him a hand!
Ah, *two* slashes on his arm! Woo hoo! Any poison get into his system? Oh, that sounded pretty twisted, didn't it? ;) Heh, heh! I think you will find me one Leggy angst, hurt and comfort loving fan! LOL I thrive on it! Ok, I think I'll stop now before you start to wonder what kind of crazy reviewer you've got on your hands now! ;) LOL
Anyway, great chapter! I have to agree with you, writing a story using old language really isn't that hard. You just have to make a conscious effort of it. I've read too many stories where Legolas say "Awesome" or Aragorn says "Let's plow the road!" and those words really just don't fit! I think if people would just close their eyes and imagine the characters saying the words they've given them, they'd realize what works and what doesn't! You obviously have a handle on it and it's always refreshing to read stories that keep to the spirit Tolkien intended. Great job!
I'll be waiting for the next chappy, just hurry up, ok!? ;) LOL

The next chapter is now up, so consider your torture ended. As you can see, no great harm came to Legolas and he is now safely in the protection of his brothers. You are not alone in liking the Legolas angst, hurt and comfort routine. I like it too as long as it doesn't get too carried away. I'm not too keen on mindless violence and angst. Thank you for your review. It's very encouraging for a first time writer.

· Chapter 3: Where is Legolas?
Wow, great story so far! You've really managed to draw me into this story. Your writing is very consistent and in tune with the language for the time. Not once did I find anything in this story that is not plausible nor awkward for the Elves of Mirkwood. I am truly impressed!
I can't wait to find out what happens next and I sure hope Legolas' gets to the warriors in one piece! :)

Thank you for your kind words. I did make an effort while writing this story to keep modern day language out of the story and it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Maybe it's because I've always been drawn to historical novels and literature - managed to pick up quite a bit from some very good writers.
Ch. 4 will be posted soon. I've got quite an adventure in store for Legolas.

· Chapter 2: An Opportunity Arises
A good beginning to this story. You have caught the impatience of the prince with the protectiveness of his Ada in a very believable fashion. It will be interesting to see where you lead the story next. Does Thranduil send out troops to find his son and the army to the south or does he prepare for the invasion of the orcs? Very angsty. Hope you continue soon.
Author's reply
Chapter 3 is up and as you can see, Thranduil is not about to chase after his son - duty as the king comes first, though it must be tearing him apart to know that his son is out there alone. Thank you for your review.

Oh dear, something tells me that Thranduil is going to have a fit when he finds out the news of Legolas. I am enjoying this story so far and I hope that you update soon =)
Author's reply
Yes, Thranduil is not too pleased about Legolas taking off on his own, not to mention that he's probably scared witless over his son's well-being. Chapter 3 is now up - hope you continue to enjoy the story. Thanks for reviewing.
