the updates might get a little wonky for a couple of days owing to RL intruding, thanks so much for the review I am glad you are enjoying the story. Rose

Just thought I'd let you know I was reading and enjoying. ^^ Your OCs are wonderful, and the quick-moving plot has me craving more. Keep up the awesome work!

Glad to have you along for the ride, it's a bit long, Adagio has two sequels the longer one is not finished yet but I am working on it! Thanks for the review. Rose

You appear to be my favourite type of writer - one who updates regularly and quickly! I like the way Legolas and Aragorn steadfastly defend Gimli - I certainly wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of Legolas's glare. Things are becoming clearer now, and we know where Gimli went but not what happened to him or Gleowyn, or *why* the Woses are acting like this. BTW, you can respond to a review directly on this site. Well this is a bit quicker than cutting and pasting in my mail reader, duh. I never thought to actually read from the page, and I found a review or two the bot had missed! Thanks for both your continuing support and your continuing great writing. Rose

What a lovely tale! You've moved our friends forward in time very nicely, with an attention to detail that gives your story a lot of texture. Your use of OCs is exceptional. My heart is breaking for Gleowyn. My only suggestion is to be sure and use breaks in the text to indicate a change of scene. I look forward eagerly to the rest!

Thank you for your kind words and I am glad you are enjoying the story. The text has been edited so much that I kinda don't see the errors any more so thanks for the heads up. Rose

Oh, poor Gleowyn! I can see that Gimli is going to look after her, no doubt take her to Aglarond to work in the smithies, which will cause all the trouble. BTW, your story synopsis says 'complete'. It should be 'in progress', I take it? Jay

I like Gleowyn, even if she is a klutz. And Gimli's so sweet to her. It was also touching to read about how Gimli was comforted by the plant Legolas gave him. That was a nice addition. I hope there's more coming!

Gimli, accused of rape? How awful--the Rohirrim should know better, as Eomer found out how Legolas reacts to those who threaten Gimli. But Eomer's dead in your fic, of course. That's an interesting thing about this story so far--the dialogue is light and dryly witty, but because it's so late in Aragorn's reign there's an undercurrent of sadness with stuff like the sea-longing and Aragorn's age and the fact that Sam is gone and Rosie dead.

Oh, I like this! Great characterization of Legolas and Aragorn, interesting concept of "feast-day friends" (do not like Minuial. Do not like any girl who is mean to Legolas) and funny dialogue. Legolas and Gimli must make up, though! And I like it how you don't shy away from the issue of Aragorn's age. He must be quite old 98 years into his reign. I hope we see more of Tolman, too.

Heh...I love your sense of humor, and your characterization and dialogue are delightful! I can see it clearly as I read, thanks to your attention to detail. I can't wait for the next part...

Bodkin · 23 April 2004 · Chapter 1: 1/9

This is lovely. I already love Tolman - the talented hobbit. And the idea of feast-day friends. And Gimli's embarrassment. And Aragorn with a sense of humour. Keep writing - I want to find out what happens next.

I can tell I'm going to enjoy this story. You have a lovely use of language and expression, and some wonderful OCs, not to say good characterisation of Legolas and Aragorn. The 'feast-day friends' sounds rather interesting as well! Poor Gimli must have been rather shocked. Jay
