This is really beautiful. I love the way you bring in Pippin's thoughts about singing for Denethor. It's heartbreaking to see Merry and Pippin so affected by the experiences that have been forced upon them, but wonderful to see them able to take comfort in one another. Lovely stuff.

I like the fact that Pippin has to sort of redeem the idea of music here...a very good story with good character detail!
