I like how you fleshed out Merry and Pippin's reunion with Gandalf. In their account, all that the two hobbits shared were the bare bones of their reunion with the wizard; you did a great job of filling in details that are true to canon.

I love the way you've written this...I remember the scene where Merry and Pippin are reunited with the 'White Wizard', and I often wonder what came of that meeting. Excellent job!

Excellent! A good gap-filler, that sounds as if it sticks tight to canon. I really like the balance, of wakening in the beginning, and going to sleep at the end. Great description and believable dialogue. Nicely done.
