I loved the one about Bill! I love how seriously all the big folk take the hobbits -- and especially Sam, given that he's not only a hobbit but (technically) a servant. Some people might barely notice him at all, but of course not Legolas and Aragorn ... :-) I also liked the 'practice proposal' at the end ... :-P

Wow, so cute! At the last one I was like, "ack, what?!" then it was for Rosie, and I got happy because I love Sam/Rosie! I hate Sam/Frodo, though....

Hello Shirebound, What a little basket of joyful surpises this was. From Merry's childhood treasure to Bilbo's tweenage treasure, Bill the Pony's place in his new family (reminds me somehow of Frodo's acceptance by the Elves in your story I reviewed prior to this - but perhaps I'm being fanciful), the honouring of the Ringbearers on Cormallen, and lastly (but not least) dear Sam's nervous preparations for the Big Proposal -all absolutely delighful. Great work! M :)

Just going through some of your earlier works. I've read the one where Sam practices proposing before, but I didn't remember the rest. But the image of Frodo's Light shining before all as he was seated on Aragorn's own throne of turves is one that moves my heart immensely.

My favourite is the second one! And the Ten Walkers is cute too! I must tell you, Shirebound, that I read these before, all but the last. I just freaked out at the last one and didn't make it through (I know--CHICKEN!), because slash just makes my stomach turn and puts me in a pretty awful mood. But I thought afterward, "Wait a minute! SOA doesn't allow that stuff! And I don't believe Shirebound would do it anyway!" So I went back and finished, and the relief mingled with the comedy of it just about brought me to the floor with laughter! *grin* Very clever! God bless, Galadriel

Lovely ficlets, shirebound, though you had me scared there for a moment when I read the last one - I thought for a split second you had delved into the slash fandom and I was about to mourn! Sssssh... I'm supposed to be working! Don't tell anybody. Oh, I know I've read most of these and loved them, but I don't recall seeing the last two . . . the "Humble Hobbits" and "Sam Proposes." Adored "Humble Hobbits"---what a sweet ficlet, showing Frodo getting exactly what he deserves. I wish he'd been wearing a circlet in the movie, I have to say, as he did here and in the books. That really IS gilding the lily, isn't it... :) And for a moment I thought I was reading an F/S fic, Shirebound! Hee. So cute---especially Sam's needing to practice. He's just so nervous. These are so hobbity and excellent gapfillers.
