eokat · 9 September 2004 · Chapter 999: Never Again

Short but extremely sweet. Is this the last one? It says epilogue but it also says story still in status of writing. Hope there is more, as I have enjoyed this immensely. Eokat.

The Flesh · 6 September 2004 · Chapter 999: Never Again

Oh my gosh, I love this story! It's sooo good... *A little not to those who don't speak Gaelic (the language of Ireland) sidhe is pronounced shee* anyways, my friend this is a very well written story and I hope to hear more stories like it- I mean about people that aren't as well knowingly written about... Keep up your great stories ;) -the Flesh

Bjorn-were · 31 August 2004 · Chapter 5: Bright Eyes of Death

I loved this chapter wine min! So sad and pretty. Is this the last of it? If there's more, I hope to hear it. You are very good writer.

eokat · 31 August 2004 · Chapter 5: Bright Eyes of Death

Wow, what an incredible chapter. It fair gave me goosebumps reading it. I love the thought of Elfhild waiting for Theoden. Twas sad though that she now lay with her departed son, I had never actually brought that to mind before. Fate is cruel. I wonder what you have planned next? Eokat.

Elfique · 31 August 2004 · Chapter 5: Bright Eyes of Death

very sad - i didnt think there'd be more of this to come! - not that im complaining!

Smeagol in a SAUNA · 24 August 2004 · Chapter 4: Cradle to Grave

I never thought that anyone would write a story about Elfhild! Yay for you! I love the story so far (CONTINUE!), but there are lots of typos. Grieff should be 'grief', and don't include random Old English words. I know what they mean because I'm learning the language, but others don't. I also noticed and inconsitency in British/American spellings. Use colour or color; don't switch. If you're British, do it that way, and if you're American, do it that way. Keep writing, home slice. :) -Christie-

(Beams) Why *thank* you! I'm so glad you picked up on the finer points of my story! You know, the ree-lee important stuff! No, I'm just kidding. Again, all of you who read this, I can't spell worth @#$%. No, seriously. It's a sad, sad, perversion of nature, but I skipped that "spelling" gene. Or mayhap it's because I just type really fast, and don't notice I'm doing it. I'm not the brightest looker in the Shire, but at least I'm not as drunk as Pippin is. Wait a sec, Pip's drunk? Bye!(Runs to The Green Dragon.)

eokat · 15 August 2004 · Chapter 4: Cradle to Grave

Oh this is so sad, and yet it was expected. I am glad she knew the babe was well before she succumbed. Wonder what the next chapter will bring? Eokat.

Author's reply

I'm trying to decide on which side I should give in to: the Smeagol side, or the Golloum side. Smeagol says I should end the story on a very bitter-sweet, sentimental note, that is in a way a "happy" ending. Golloum says I should be evil and make the last chapter bitterly sad. *sigh* but thank's for your review!

Elfique · 15 August 2004 · Chapter 4: Cradle to Grave

a few typos - minor though. nice how she did get to hold her child just before she died. i loved the my child my life my death line (it went along those lines) it was just such a clever line.

Author's reply

Thanks be! Sorry about the typos; my computer is situated next to the door in another family members room, who insists that that door should stay open dispite the incliment weather here in the mountains, so the majority of the time I type my fingers are frozen.

Epona · 14 August 2004 · Chapter 4: Cradle to Grave

Oh poor Theoden! Is that the end or is there more to come?? Oh well well written my dear dear friend. Mina stigar de ligga så vida, Long long she awaited her sorrow...

Author's reply

Thanks be, Epona. And thanks to all who reviewed; if I have not answered, pleasek know that my computer is evil and I therefore must reply from another's computer, which takes time. Sorry!

RosieLuvsHerChainsaw · 10 August 2004 · Chapter 2: Wishing's Folly

*in sing-song voice* someone's having mood swings...

Author's reply

Are you refering to Elfhild or me? One would believe she already was pregnant with her fluctuating hormone-level. Forgive her. And it's not like you'll ever have kids, so you can live vikariously through her in my story.

RosieLuvsHerChainsaw · 10 August 2004 · Chapter 1: Bride's Ballad

Well, Theoden, maybe if you guys... *caugh* you know... there would be a better chance of haveing kids...

Author's reply

Shet up, Rosie the serial killer. Not like *you* could ever get a guy like Theoden in your life. ;) P.S. Rosie the soon to be jailed is wine min, so she doesn't care (I think) when I disparage her.

Dracawyn · 10 August 2004 · Chapter 3: The Queen's Curse

I had never cared much about the character Elfhild but now, she seems to have a spirite so like my own that i cannot help but like her. And Rhiannon is awsome. you are amazing when it comes to discription.

Author's reply

Why thank you, Dracawyn. How so do you identify with her?

Dracawyn · 10 August 2004 · Chapter 2: Wishing's Folly

Beautifuly sad with a little glimer of hope. I LOVE IT! (I'm in picess mode again)

Author's reply

Thanks, Dragon-fancier. I'm glad you love it. Hurrah for the picese!!! (which includes myself {quite obvious}, Aragorn, King Arthvr, and Galahad).

Dracawyn · 10 August 2004 · Chapter 1: Bride's Ballad

*giggles* very subtle. that's what Tolkien did to suggest stuff on wedding nights... describe the bed sheets. But it was very romantic and sweet even in those short verses... and honestly I've never thought of Theoden like that... i meen i knew he had a child but... it still is a little wierd to me, especialy sence you began to refer to him as Miss Havisham...

Author's reply

Give it up, Wemmick-fancier! But tee-hee, I love the Bombadil poem where they talk about his sheets (almost as much as "Little Princess Mee" {"The Adventures of Tom Bombadil," though thank Elbereth that said poem was not one of them). And thank you anyway. My giggling suprasses yours. I win.

eokat · 8 August 2004 · Chapter 3: The Queen's Curse

pipinheart · 3 August 2004 · Chapter 3: The Queen's Curse

The Aged · 1 August 2004 · Chapter 2: Wishing's Folly

That was wonderful! I enjoyed reading it very much! Oh, but she should not have challenged Epona. I do look forward to your next chapter.

(Nods enthusiastically) Ah, tis perilous to challenge a Goddess, aye. But I shall continue to write, thanks be! Love, Mr. Wemmicks

Éowyn · 26 July 2004 · Chapter 1: Bride's Ballad

hmm, glad that someone's finally writing about my dear Aunt Elfhild. How sad her tale was. Anyways, I look forward to hearing the next chapter so get writing quickly. By the way, is the inspiration for this tale partly that song 'Verdergallningen' (Vengeance) we both like? Love, The Lady of the Mearc

Author's reply

Well, Eowyn (how do you do the accent mark? I can't figure it out), that song certinly did inspire some of my story, wine min. Thaks for reviewing my story. 'Twas in part because of you I decided to write this story.

eokat · 25 July 2004 · Chapter 1: Bride's Ballad

I enjoyed this. Glad to see someone writing about Elfhild. Looking forward to more. Eokat.

Author's reply

Thank you, eokat! I was beginning to wonder if anyone even knew who Elfhild was. Thanks again!
