Aw...a 100 words of sweet and happy fluff.
SlightlyTookish · 3 August 2006 · Chapter 1: Connections
Aww, this is so sweet! I'm so glad you linked to it at wee_hobbits. I love the idea that each cousin had his own little one to look after and love :)

Thank you! This was my very first drabble ever, and my first attempt to grope my way into the relationship of the cousins.
Dana · 1 January 2006 · Chapter 1: Connections
I do love them. And I'm glad they love each other. And this? Was quite lovely.
Author's reply
Thank you, dear.

Awww, how sweet! I adore stories that look at the relationship between the three cousins. They all have such strong bonds to one another. If Pippin is to be flying a kite, then it is well that both he and Frodo like to climb trees. I wonder what happens when Merry's kite gets stuck in a tree in Buckland?
Author's reply
This was my first attempt to explore that early bond. I think you can see that their relationships have been an obsession of mine from the start. LOL! I have a feeling it would probably stay stuck, unless Frodo was visiting at the time. *grin*

Awwwww! This makes me feel all warm and squishy and happy inside! :)
Lily-Annabeth · 7 August 2004 · Chapter 1: Connections
Aww. That was so sweet I saved it to my favourites as soon as I had time :)
Hai Took · 4 August 2004 · Chapter 1: Connections
A sweet look at the relationship between Frodo, Merry and Pippin! So few words yet it captured the hobbit perfectly! Thank you!
Author's reply
I'm glad you liked it. I never thought I could do a drabble, as I tend to run on a lot. But I will definitely try them again. Thank *you*!

Really like this...The love between cousins, and how sometimes those we love can touch us deeper than we realize. I love the feeling behind this... Please expand on this...
Author's reply
The love between the cousins is something I never get tired of exploring.
Grey Wonderer · 29 July 2004 · Chapter 1: Connections
What? You mean Merry didn't want to check and see if Pip had any teeth the first time he saw him? LOL This was so sweet and I could just see Pip with his kite. Loved it!
Author's reply
Oh, do stop tickling my funny bone in the wee hours! Love probably wouldn't have kept a curious Brandybuck's fingers out of Pip's mouth! 8-)
GamgeeFest · 29 July 2004 · Chapter 1: Connections
Cute and sweet! It's good to see those deep connections that we see in the book were so instant and steadfast from the very beginning.
Author's reply
Well, you've read enough of my stories to know that my take on Frodo is that his little Merry was all that kept him out of suicidal depression over the death of his parents. And Pippin is just pure love and trust, drawing out all Merry's protectiveness.
Auntiemeesh · 29 July 2004 · Chapter 1: Connections
Aww, how sweet. I do so love these pre-Quest bonding moments between cousins. I like this idea that Pippin made Merry love him from the moment of birth, and that Merry did the same to Frodo :)
Author's reply
I have always been fascinated by the idea that three cousins, so far apart in age, could be so very close to one another. It seems to me to be one of those things that Gandalf called "meant". Providence, Fate or the will of Eru, call it what you will.
Lindelea · 29 July 2004 · Chapter 1: Connections
My first reaction was "Awwwwww, how sweet!" Drabbles are amazing, aren't they? You can say so much with just 100 words.
Author's reply
It *is* amazing! I had shied away from them, thinking I would never be able to keep something that short and still have it sound right. Imagine my surprise when my first shot at this came in short by 8 words, and I actually had to add to it! I definitely am going to try this again sometime!
