Oooh! That was so sad! very creative, though. Did she (the girl who died) ever exist, or did you make her up. THough I have read teh series 7 times, I have not gathered enough courage or strength to delve into the appendexes. Good luck with any other fanfiction!

Thanks! I actually made Alatarial up, as the appendices only list the Stewards. Her father was Steward when the White Tree died, and so Gondor was definitely going through an uncertain period. I'm glad that you like it!

How very, very sad! Poor Pip and Eowyn - bored silly and then finding that terrible prison/room! I'm glad the Pippin wanted to take the doll with them, and give it the freedom that poor girl never knew again! Great shocking story to read late at night with my attic door right outside the room I'm sitting in *shivers and runs for cover!* linda

Thanks! I liked the image of Pippin with the doll-I can jsut imagine him giving it to a daughter of his own one day. :)
