I think this chapter is a good opening for a story of healing for the Shire, beginning with Lobelia and Frodo. You shoudl think of continuing it when you have the chance.

Really? Feel free to e-mail me at any time if you have a suggestion or to pester me for more. ;) I'll try to get to this after my monster fic "Love Me, Please, Forever." (a planned 34 chapters!) Thank you so much for the review, and thank you for deeming it good enough to be turned into a story of healing for the Shire. I love it when a reader has ideas I didn't even see. Thank you! Frodo

FrodoBaggins_88: I really liked this little story. I never thought about Frodoa nd Lobelia talking after she came out of the Lockholes, but it does make sense that she would be willing to listen after all both of them had been through. Keep up the good work.

Thank you! I'm glad you thought it was sensible, and I am very glad that you read it. :) I'm very thankful for my readers, and especially the ones who leave reviews, which are far and few. So, a special thank you to you!

Hi! Lovely short story, will you be adding any more??? Mouse

Author's reply

Thank you! I wasn't originally planning on adding more, but I could after I finish the three fics I'm writing now (one could be a shorter story, but the other two are longer). No promises since I have no idea how long they will take and how much the load will be at school this year as a junior, but I certainly will consider it.

Dear Frodo, First of all, I'd like to tell you that your piece, Enmity Lost, is very nice. You came up with a good idea -- one that I've never seen, let alone one that hasn't been done to death, and that's quite an accomplishment in and of itself. I'm always impressed and delighted when an author takes a character and gives them something unexpected to do. Well done. If I have one critique, (since you invited feedback) it's that I would have liked to see more -- not an immense amount, but a little more. I admired your structure, leaving it as an open-ended situation (just like the kindly professor did!), but would have enjoyed reading more of Lobelia's feelings, looking around at the ruins, mostly because you have such a grand start on her. However, beyond that, I think you did an excellent job with it and I'm looking forward to reading more of your writing. Jeodo Brandybuck

Jeodo, Thank you so much for reading my piece and taking time to review; I always love feedback even if it's only criticism. I'm glad you enjoyed the piece and my writing, though I'm sure Tolkien's writing is definitely better, but we all have to start somewhere, right? I'll be sure to keep an eye out for where I can flesh things out and where a reader such as yourself might enjoy seeing more of a character's thoughts. I am looking forward to sharing more of my stories on this site and further feedback from readers such as you. Frodo

Just wanted to say I've been enjoying your vignettes this evening. If I have one criticism, it is that they could perhaps have used a bit of a final brush-up before posting, for minor grammatical things. But the ideas are fresh, and I like your portrayal of Frodo. Keep writing!

Rowan, Thank you for taking the time to review. I'm glad you enjoyed my vignettes. :) I will keep my eyes open more in the final readthrough that I do for little grammatical things then. I appreciate the feedback. And I most definitely will continue to write. Hope to hear more from you soon on later stories if any of them appeal to you. Frodo
