How adorable!! (two of my favourite things, too--a young Estel and kittens) You got the tone just right (out of the mouths of babes, eh?)--I could picture the whole thing, down to the kittens' mock battle and Estel's actions. I love stories about the young Estel--grown, he's so serious and has so much on his shoulders--it's nice to read about his younger years. Kudos to you on a wonderful story!

This is very cute! Acting like animals indeed. Have you told this story to your daughter's friends (as Elrond did to Estel) and have you plans to tell it to your grandchildren???
