· Chapter 9999: Epilogue
This is my second time reading this story, and I love it no less! I read it first before I joined this wonderful site, and I didn't know that non-members could leave reviews. In fact, I owe you a thank-you for helping me get into Frodo healing! :-) Love it, love it! I'm usually kind of picky about AU stories, but this is irresistible to someone who loves Frodo and Sam, angst, lots and lots of healing, and of course, a happy ending! Yay! I love Blossom Bogs; she'd be a very interesting individual to meet and talk to. And I like the way you portray these beloved characters. Bell never appears in the books, you know, and I'm forever interested to see how different authors portray her. Your viewpoint is, I think, very true to what she might have been like. She's Sam's "mum" after all; she has to be wonderful! :-) And poor Frodo, to have to suffer such indignities that make me blush to imagine! :-) His excitement over being called "Frodo" instead of "Mr. Frodo" by Sam is so sweet and touching, as is the little scene in the garden. It's true: we don't tend to think much about good health until we lose it. And one last note, I love the ending!!! A wonderful, very well-written story! Namarie, and God bless,
Galadriel
P.S. Lengthy reviews-a habit of mine. :-)

What a wonderful story! You had me on the edge of my seat several times. Poor Frodo, the things we put him through! ;-)
If you don't mind, I would like to recommend this fic on the Marigold's Recommendations site. I will be guest recommender this week, as Marigold is on holiday. You can access the recommendations page at either of these two addresses: Marigold's Recommendations or Marigold's Live Journal
Author's reply
Such wonderful praise, you actually had me blushing! I would be honored, thrilled, to have you recommend my story. I have always wanted more people to read it and maybe this will help. Thank you so very, very much! (Jumps up and down in glee)

It was a wonderful story and enjoyed the happy ending very much. Cannot wait until you work on another story!
Author's reply
Thanks so much, my dear. Always there should be a happy ending or at least a hopeful ending, in my mind. I am so pleased you enjoyed it. I am writing a new fic, but it may not be something you would be interested in. It is my first foray into the world of slash. (gasp) I am stepping a bit out of my comfort zone here and I'm a little nervous. I don't know what your feelings on slash are, so I hope you're not offended. I want to pair Aragorn and Frodo, my two favorite characters. If you're interested you will be able to access it on my livejournal and at Frodoslash the yahoo group. Take care, and keep writing those fantastic fics!

Aww, it's finally over. Thanks for the tears and the laughter. I did enjoy this story, it was just a bit hard waiting for the next chapter at times (understandable, though). I hope you can give us another story since this one has ended and you have nothing else to do now! ;)
Author's reply
Bobo- so very sorry it took so long to answer you're sweet review. Sorry it was so long between updates, but you know how trying real life can get and that is, unfortunately, what took me away from my beloved passtime. Nothing else to do, I wish! I am working on another story that is a bit out of my comfort zone and I hope you will read it. I don't know how you feel about slash, so be warned, this one is. It is between Aragorn and Frodo and I promise lots of love and hurt/comfort with of course, angst. Thanks again for your wonderful reviews and for hanging in there when I was a bit slow to update.

Stubborn Baggins! That he is, but after all, he made it to the front door, didn't he?
I really enjoyed reading your story.
To have true friends is a precious gift!
Thank you!

thank you so much, I love to hear that people enjoy my stories. I agree, friends are a precious thing we should never take for granted

Stubborn hobbit!
Glad to see everyone happy, sad to see the story end.
Author's reply
That Frodo is a stubborn one, isn't he? But I really love and respect that in a hobbit. I too, am sad to see the story end, but now I have more time to write chapters for Phantasm and perhaps a new one as well. Hope you will read on, thanks for reviewing...it truly is appreciated.

· Chapter 13: A Sense of Family
I do love frodo healing stories, thank you for sharing this great story.
Just one item you may want to fix in the last chapter:
"carried by Strider and placed gently on a low chaste"...chaste I believe should be chaise. When I come across words like this I always think "spell checker stricks again".
Thank you for the story.
Author's reply
I thought that looked weird, but missed it even still...Word is great for alot of stuff, but doesn't have a brain and common sense (guess that's where I'm suppose to come in, huh?) so it screws up alot on fics. Thanks for pointing it out, unfortunately the story is complete (I'll fix it here just for fun) so it's all water under the bridge, I suppose. Thanks for reviewing!

Awww! So lovely. What a wonderful ending. Just how I like my h/c fics: Frodo ending up happy and healthy (or on the road to being healthy). Thanks for sharing this lovely story!

Thanks Ella...I am so glad you enjoyed it. I loved writing it and will miss it...but now onto another fic....

Author's reply
Thank you oh so very much, my dear. (Bows head to supreme leader) I could never have done it without you and your wonderful first chapter. Thanks for the opportunity, really.
Author Reply: Elwen, just wanted you to know that they want to list the story on Marigold's Recommendations. What a thrill to have our story noticed! Thanks again for letting me have the opportunity of delving into the world of Frodo Baggins and allowing me to take your ball and run with it.

*happy sigh* Thank you lovethosehobbits. Now to go back and re-read it in full. Happy thought.
Author's reply
Please do! Actually the other day I picked up one of my spiralbound notebooks that I used for Smoke and Mirrors and casually started reading it. Before I knew it I had pulled them all down and reread everything. It just goes to show that none of us, even if we write the thing, are exempt from the 're-read' Enjoy, and thanks so much for enjoying it.

Yay! What a wonderfully stubborn hobbit! No matter what happens to Frodo in your stories, he's never a victim (except of circumstance).
*applause for a job well done*
Author's reply
(Bows and blushes) Thanks so much, sis. I am so very tickled that you liked the ending...see? I could never, ever hurt my Fro' to the point where he wouldn't be able to, say, pop up in the next evil story...Muhahahahahah. Glad you liked it, tree

All right! It appears the worst is over, and Frodo finally realizes that he's not alone. I love this story!
(btw, the Grey Company's elvish is geared more toward role-playing and is not true elvish. A list of more reliable sources can be found at http://www.councilofelrond.com/. just thought you'd like to know.)

thanks for updating. a most comforting chapter. And to answer your question on my story, yes...more aggressive means a little more pain for our dear Frodo, but there is a reason for my madness. please update soon.

Ack! I've tried to review this twice, but my internet connection keeps shutting down. Grrrr. What an affectionate, loving chapter. Frodo will be taken care of, dear Sam can't wait to take care of him, and we're coming up on a happy ending. Yay!
Author's reply
You were successful! I knew you'd like this chapter since it was filled with Frodo fluffiness, LOL. Yep, a happy ending is coming up next, so stay tuned. love you

Wheee! Another chapter. And a very nice one too. So Frodo's having forebodings of his impending quest? Scary! Once again, how I love Blossom! And her recount of Frodo disobeying doctor's orders and eating a whole pie was wonderful! I look foreward to more:)
Author's reply
So glad you're enjoying it! Blossom is dear to my own heart, as well. Please, check back again and leaving another wonderful review. There's only one chapter left to this story, but I invite you, if you haven't already (I can't remember all that have commented on the story...oops) to check out my other fics as well. tree

He's getting better! *whew* Oh, I love how Bell browbeat even Aragorn into resting, and Blossom's litany of Frodo's stubborn mischief is priceless.
(You might want to correct 'Dunedain' (plural) to 'Dunadan' (singular) -- I *think* that's how those words translate.)
Author's reply
Thanks for the tip on Dunedain. I don't think I'll repost the fic for just that little thing, since I hope, you were the only one who really noticed it. I will make the change if I use the word in the future tho', so thanks. Yep, our boy's getting better....promised you he would. In my stories he always has to go thru Hell first tho', huh? I must have alot of unresolved torture issues hidden in my life, I think LOL. I am getting so excited about our little rendesvous (spelling?), I can't wait! I'll be emailing you again before I leave to ask a couple of questions....thanks again for being such a great supporter of my writing, I don't think I would have ever continued without you always being there to encourage me to go forward, my friend. tree

· Chapter 10: The Scouring of Frodo
Well, Frodo did say that he would rather keep his arm. Oh, that was so hard for everyone, especially Sam. But it's over now, and they can all shower some much needed TLC on Frodo!
Author's reply
This was a pretty graphic chapter, not for the faint hearted. I promise tons of TLC is coming up for the poor boy. I would never torture my favorite hobbit and then leave him hanging or God forbid, kill him off....not my style. tree

· Chapter 10: The Scouring of Frodo
Well, once again, I adored Blossom! The part where she tells Sam her concoctions will put "hair on his chest" was wonderfully funny! But poor, poor Frodo! I'm a fluffy angst person so this chapter was rather too graphic for me, but well written non the less.
Author's reply
Thanks so much for your review!! I agree that it was quite messy but I wanted to get it out of the way so we can cuddle and hug our boy till he's all better. Please, review again, and thanks tree

· Chapter 10: The Scouring of Frodo
Tree, this is just one of your "trademark" chapters... absolutely riveting and delicious with Frodo-angst. I'm so sorry I've been behind in reviewing---real-life in the form of two very ill parents intervenes quite a lot, and I'm always pressed for time. But know that I read this and wow, I don't think I've ever read of Frodo in such pain. But it was so very well done and believable... and I LOVED the seizure and vomiting and such... (btw, it's "debriding") and most of all, Aragorn bundling Frodo and holding him as the linens were changed. :)
Very, very nice... and I hope your RL stresses clear up very soon and get much, much better for you.
Much love,
LB
Author's reply
Long time no see, stranger. So very good to hear from you and hope things iron out with your loved ones soon. I am much, much better than I was. I just have alot of stress going on now, I think they call it "life", but am so much more optimistic than a few months ago. So very good to hear from you, I'll take you off of my list of deceased hobbit fanfiction writers right away. love to you, tree

This is it for Frodo, right? He just needs to rest and recover now, right? RIGHT?!? (I think I'm going to need a little TLC after this chapter....)

Well, sure what the heck. I actually plan on there only being about another 2 chapters, 3 at most, so we can get this boy back on his feet. Glad you enjoyed (??) it and thanks, as always, for reviewing. tree

Wow! I should have been wincing and jumping throughout this chapter, but I think Blossom's words to Sam kept me calm, as well. As always, your dialogue is fantastic. I wish I wrote Sam's "voice" as well as you do!

Thanks so much. I posted it on FrodoHealers but doubt you will see it. I'm glad you liked the dialogue and Blossom's interaction with Sam. I hoped it would soften the blow of the actual surgery a bit. Love to you and thanks again for reviewing. tree
