These are so beautiful, from Pippin's birth to the end of the Quest, each one so sweet and touching. My two favorites were Pippin learning to walk--where else would he go but to Merry? and of course the last one. I can so imagine the young Took feeling bad that he had nothing to give his Merry, and Merry knowing that the greatest gift was the same as the first one he'd ever been given--his cousin's own self.

I had the biggest smile when I read your lovely, thoughtful comments. Your analysis of Merry and Pippin is terrific - that is exactly what I hoped to show in these drabbles. Thank you so much! :)

Oh, that was nice. Giggle...my little one gives me pictures like that one all the time, and I have to sound like I know what it is on the paper (sometimes, I'm just not entirely sure). I love the progression in these scenes and Merry's comment in the last one. Very much the loving, older cousin.

Yes, Merry loves his Pippin :) I'm glad you liked them - thanks for reading!

I love a good birhtday story! This were wonderful. The one where Pippin walks to Merry is my favorite but I enjoyed them all.

For some reason the "Pippin walking" one was the hardest to write, so I'm very happy that you liked it! Thank you :)

Oh, all of these are wonderful. What a wonderful progression through time, and such love between these cousins! Pippin smiled proudly. “The first one was bad,” he admitted, “but this one looks just like you, Merry, doesn’t it?” Of course it does! :)
