Have you got any plotbunnies about Glorfindel and Erestor that look promising? Strictly no slash and I don't mind paying. I have several about Aragorn with the twins/legolas or Elrond if a trade is needed.

ok- at fist I didnt think this was my cup of tea- but I laughed and laughed! I LOVED the three hobbit fans- and the way they dismissed Karen as a Legolas- lover. And the teenage girls being Mary Sue wirters (you can always tell within the first couple of paragraphs. And I loved the joke about summaries. Poor John- what a good bloke he is! One point though- there is so much dross out there that you can waste months of your life sifting though to find a decent writer /story- if you are wirting under a differnt name- how will I know to read yours??? HELP!

Absolutely Hilarious! I can so understand this. I especially liked those who you 'didn't' want to give your plot bunnies away to. It really hit home for me.

*laughs* Beautiful, dear, absolutely beautiful! I saw myself in so much of this story - you really captured the heart of a true-to-canon fanfic writer. Bravo. Any bunnies you can point me to? ;-) Rosie

That was fantastic! And a bit disturbing...nail on the head and all that. Wonderful job, though. I laughed until I cried.

i know how you feel. i kept most of my plot bunnies on the comp with no backup copy. then one day, my mom decided to wipe the hardisc clean and poof! everything was gone. took me a long time to get over not seeing my bunnies again...haiz...good story though! :)

Within minutes of reading your fic, I was *drowning* in plot bunnies!! One of them was how your hobbit fanciers could turn that Fellowship bunny hobbit-centric after all. 8-D Hmmm....
Imrahoil · 21 September 2004 · Chapter 1
Oh no, not another good author going west. I'm still getting teary-eyed over the defection of Bryn sometimes. At least you're giving us warning. Have a nice real life then and don't forget to visit from time to time.
Shemyaza · 21 September 2004 · Chapter 1
Heh! I like it..........but your plot bunnies are busy hopping around my back garden and I really need to finish my original novel which has a publisher's deadline. Something tells me that he wouldn't appreciate me writing a LOTR fanfic instead of finishing that!

Oh, Ithilien, this is so funny! I laughed out loud at several points. Thank you for brightening my day! - Barbara

This was just delightful, and I recognized many "truths" as a fanfic writer. What a wonderful way of working through unrequieted plot bunny desire! (Err, so-to-speak). I was a little taken aback at the snarky hobbit writers though. Are we really seen like that? Yikes. Have fun with your new stage of writing just for yourself. (I loved your line: "That idea was tantalizing for it would free her of all the silly games she played to garner more reviews.")

I was halfway between tears and laughter through most of this story - and oh my, the ring of truth strikes very close to home indeed. Sweet Valar, I want to see those Elladan/Legolas/Elrohir bunnies fleshed out. Oh yes. I was laughing so hard at what they were doing in that cage together. And Saruman-Gandalf-Radagast nearly burning down the garage, ha! Laughed and laughed. Most of the time I was pleading with the protaganist, "Karen," - don't do it! Don't give them up! Don't leave us! We need you! We need good authors, mature authors who speak in complete sentences and write stories that make us think beyond our usual boundaries. But the moral is a good one, I guess, and the point is well taken. Our fandom is richer for the giving of the plot bunnies - may they multiply ever more. The story itself is brilliant. Love the build-up of suspense, wondering just what was going on with that sign out front. I was very tempted to scroll ahead to find out what was happening, but I resisted. And I'm glad I did. Really, as a fan and an author, I found it so moving. Balancing Real Life and fantasy is not always easy, especially when one has family to take care of. But, if I may say, the fantasy IS important. Whether the outlet is in fanfic or something else, an imagination like this cannot be stifled. We can indulge our obessions, just a little, and still be good providers/parents/responsible people. There's no reason at all to feel guilty about it. And, like I said before, the fandom needs authors who care enough to write it right. And good Elf worshippers are all the more important, in my humble (and blatantly Elf favoring) opinion. SOMEONE has to give poor Legolas a respite from the Mary Sues. So. Wonderful, creative, original idea, and beautifully executed. The bit about calling out Legolas name? Ha! And, oh, this line, '"I do like it when you call me your Aragorn." She smiled as well. Never mind that in moments like those she was imagining slashier thoughts. He didn't need the details so long as he was satisfied with the results.' Ha ha! Laughed and laughed. Oh, I hope that you do stay with us for a long, long time, Ithilien. Whether under that name or any other, these are some bunnies worth fleshing out. And though you may be able to give some away, few authors could develop them as well as you. P.S. Loved the snooty Hobbit fanciers too. And the Sues. Oh, you've captured this fandom's divisions to a T.

Ah, Ithilien, I read this a few days ago on ff.net. Wonderful - but I do hope you're not giving up? Releasing the plot bunnies is fine, but do keep a few for yourself! Can I make an offer for the Elladan/Elrohir/Legolas bunnies please? Jay
