A very interesting story. We don't see nearly enough tales written from the POV of "lesser" Rohirrim, and I think you presented their unique way of thinking very nicely.

Nice use of first person, eokat. That's a hard POV to manage and you do it so well. And it's touching to see the thoughts and feelings of one of Eomer's men in this situation.
