Galidea · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 11: Frodo's Choice

You darn well did make it unguessable(is that a word?). I love it! Aragorn has to teach me that look too, I need it to work on my brother! It's been a sad week. One of the kids I knew died in a fire this weekend, he was 14. So, I've been crying all week so far. I think ot sucks that he was taken so soon, I truly don't think it was his time. Oh well, God calls us all. Anyway, Lost is tomorrow so I'm getting happier, and I can't wait for your next update! Galidea ;D

Hobbit_luvr · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 11: Frodo's Choice

Oh yay! I really didn't see that one coming, I like the decision though. Frodo is a genius! I can't wait to see how the two react about whatever will happen, and I hope everyone is okay! Oh, by the way, love that reaction of Merry seeing Pippin close his mouth, added some very cute humor!

DAYNA · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 11: Frodo's Choice

Once again.... I am amazed. BOROMIR!?!?! I never would have guessed it! I keep forgetting that these characters aren't exactly our movie/cannon boys, are they? ::giggle:: You are so incredibly creative and have put so much thought into this, Shirebound, you just floor me. I've decided that I need to print it all out and read it like a book, since it's so "long" between chapters. I'm really enjoying this fresh look at the Fellowship. Thanks for growing that plot bunny! :)

mirthor · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 11: Frodo's Choice

I haven't reviewed for some chapters, but have been reading it all. I like Frodo's maturity here & it's nice that he thought of a solution himself, rather than relying blindly on Gandalf's opinion. Great choice on your part for giving the ring to the most complex character of the fellowship. I'm looking forward to seeing how Boromir deals with this.

Roger Gamgee · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 11: Frodo's Choice

I should have known. You've been watching "Lost" WAY too long. *grin* Here I was, completely convinced that Frodo would choose Sam to be the new bearer of the Ring - and you go and borrow a page from JJ Abrams' book...taking you in one direction then abruptly swerving at the last possible moment. A brilliant piece of writing, if I must say so. And Frodo's logic really is inescapable, once you think about it. Boromir makes the perfect choice. “An invisible, mischievous Took,” Gandalf muttered. “I do not believe the world is ready for such a thing.” Now THAT was priceless...I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of an invisible Pippin running around. It'll be interesting to see what happens next. You should consider writing some "Lost" fanfic - I have a feeling you'd be pretty good at it. Thanks for the update, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter(s) - both of "Lost" AND "The Island".

Hobbit_luvr · 17 March 2005 · Chapter 10: Perilous Plans

Not a cliffhanger again! I had nearly completely fallen out of reading Lord of the Rings fanfiction when by chance I stumbled to this website and found your name again! I am just in complete awe of you somehow being able to keep everyone so much in character... during a plane crash. That's gotta take some major skills! Anyway, amazing story, can't wait to see what happens, poor poor Frodo... and everyone, but he just always gets the worst of everything it seems!

Galidea · 15 March 2005 · Chapter 10: Perilous Plans

I think you're right about the Lost writers, they do stay up a supernatural ammount of time. They must be Vampires or something!! The show is doing some repeats, so I think I;m going to finish some cooking first, a class of 63 and all must be provided with Brigidario(chocolate balls) by Thursday! It's riddiculous! Never volonteer at your kid brother's school! AHHH! Now I know how stressed everyone on that island must be! By the way my hero, did I mention what a wonderfully delightful and devious chapter this was? No I believe I got to complaining again, one of my chief faults! Anyhoo, I really like the idea of dealing with Sauruman now, it just kinda never came to me that they might be able to do something about him, Sauruman being a wizard and all. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Frodo will choose Sam as the bait. (Just a guess) Update soon, my precious! *evil gleam in eye* "Because we wants it, we NEEDS it my precious!" Just nod, smile and back away slowly! *hehehehe* Later! ;D

Mysterious Jedi · 15 March 2005 · Chapter 10: Perilous Plans

Love the Boromir becoming like Faramir bit! It amazes me how you can write a crossover that's actually somewhat serious and seems canonical even if it's not.

Roger Gamgee · 15 March 2005 · Chapter 10: Perilous Plans

I've been waiting for the next chapter in this story - with a new episode of "Lost" not due out until April 30, I've been occupying myself with other shows like "Jeremiah" and "24". Why do I have a sneaking suspicion I know who Frodo's choice will be? *grin* It would have to be someone who has proven able to withstand the Ring before? A certain gardener, perhaps? We'll see if I'm right. I like the way you continue to interweave these two fandoms together. I can see similarities between some of the Fellowship and some of the islanders - Gandalf/Locke, Aragorn/Jack etc. Very good characterizations on both sides. "Lost" will likely run for at least 2 seasons, possibly 3 or 4 from what I've read. Too bad this story won't last quite that long, but I understand you can only take it so far. Excellent job - keep up the great work!

Starfire_Moonlight · 4 March 2005 · Chapter 9: Healing

This is good! Did you try the same thing that Jack did to Charlie when they found him hanging in a tree? Very good if you did! Keep writing more, pretty please with suger on top! :P :D

Galidea · 4 March 2005 · Chapter 9: Healing

YAY! New update! I really, really, really can't wait fo the next one! You're right about LOST being a really twisted island! I kinda felt bad for Hurley, because Charlie didn't believe him about the money. And I can reciprocate with the bad luck thing, it's just been one nasty week. Anyway, I just needed to vent, thanks for listening! Your hero-worshiper waits for the next chapter! (Eagerly I might add!) Galidea ;D

mirthor · 3 March 2005 · Chapter 9: Healing

Not much to say other than I'm enjoying your tale :)

Pearl Took · 3 March 2005 · Chapter 9: Healing

Whew! You're leaving me feeling like I've been running a race!! So good!!! You need to have Sam badly hurt, just for a change of pace. This is wonderful!!

Roger Gamgee · 3 March 2005 · Chapter 9: Healing

Ah yes...the infamous resurrection scene from episode 11! I remember this one well...and practically wanting to hurl the TV out the window if Charlie died. You continue to blend these together so well...so is Legolas our resident 'psychic'? Waiting now for your next chapter...since there will be no new eps of 'Lost' until April 13.

Mysterious Jedi · 3 March 2005 · Chapter 9: Healing

So whatever happens to the ring if they're stranded on an island instead of trekking along towards Mordor?

DAYNA · 3 March 2005 · Chapter 9: Healing

Once again, Shirebound, Wonderful job! And I agree... it was VERY cool to "get" what was going on (the seeing dad thingy :D) without ever really seeing an entire episode! AND... I really like how you Talk to Us at the end of the story. It's very cool,IMHO. :)

Mysterious Jedi · 20 February 2005 · Chapter 8: Traps and Treachery

Excellent, as always.

Dayna · 20 February 2005 · Chapter 8: Traps and Treachery

I'm still following and still blown away, shirebound. You're doing a Phenominal job with this story! I still haven't seen an entire episode of Lost yet, and I'm actually glad I havent so I don't "get confused" by the storylines. LOL You know what's funny? I don't watch the show, but when it first started, I was working nights and Wednesday nights it would be on in the breakroom. And so I'd be on a break and see a bit here or there. And the one part I saw and remembered? (this is the funny part... and I'm going from memory with NO character names or nuthin. :D) The dark haired guy (I'm sure that helps!LOL) running into the jungle following his father (who wasn't on the plane... I think he was seeing things.)!!! Hello Merry! roflol! Amazing how that happens, eh? ::giggle:: And for those who "hate" cliffies..... Dem's da bestest parts! It keeps 'ya comin' back fer more!! LOVE LIVE SHIREBOUND'S VERSION OF LOST!!!! yikes. I'm a gush-monster today! LOL

Roger Gamgee · 20 February 2005 · Chapter 8: Traps and Treachery

I can't help but admire the way you've managed to integrate two separate universes in one story. I loved the appearance of the lmystery beast' - which we STILL haven't seen on 'Lost', by the way. I'm glad I came along for the ride on this one - cliffhangers and all. Well done!

lovethosehobbits · 20 February 2005 · Chapter 8: Traps and Treachery

Must...stop....urge....to .... throttle....janet.... Arrghh! I think Sam said it best in the last paragraph...."Nooooo!" I love cliffies....especially Frodo cliffies. Can't wait to see what happens next. I just had a thought...we are all just like our mothers used to be with soap operas (gasp) only with our fanfiction...he he he I think our addiction is much more interesting, tho'

Starfire_Moonlight · 20 February 2005 · Chapter 8: Traps and Treachery

This is great! It would make sense that Legolas could walk ontop of quicksand and not sink, like he can walk on snow. Hope Frodo will be okay. Does he still have his mithirl coat? I think so. Write more soon! :D S_M

Galidea · 20 February 2005 · Chapter 8: Traps and Treachery

Hey! wonderful chapter! I like the part with the quicksand not being able to sink Legolas, you just can't keep an elf down! I'm currently down with the flu, so this and the next episode of LOST is my only bright spot on the horizon. I wonder if there are more people like Eathan on the island, because John Lock seems to be telling everyone that there are on the previews. I just wonder why they don't want them to leave. I wonder if it has something to do with the disease the French woman, Daniel, was talking about. I'm glad they didn't kill Claire or Charlie, but you gotta admit that Eathan had it coming. Thanks for the wonderful update,I look foreward to reading the next one! Your faithful reader, hero worshiper, and fellow lost fan, Galidea ;D

Julia · 20 February 2005 · Chapter 8: Traps and Treachery

AARGH! Evil evil cliffie! Is Frodo going to be okay? Very heroic actions by the Fellowship, especially Leggy and Gimli. I think it makes sense for an elf to be able to walk on quicksand, if they can walk on snow. I think you've done a good job of keeping the Fellowship in character. Everybody seems like themselves, just in the Lost setting. Now get back here and resolve the cliffie!

Galidea · 9 February 2005 · Chapter 7: Unsettling Events

Sorry, I put the wrong Pen-name. Galimeril and Galidea are one and the same! Sorry! Galidea/Galimeril

Galimeril · 9 February 2005 · Chapter 7: Unsettling Events

Thank You! It's good to b e home! Great chapter. I like this idea about drawing away the ring bearer's protectors until he is alone. It makes for some interesting imaginings on my part, and I know you will do better than my imaginings, you always do! I can't wait to see lost tonight! I wonder who they kill? I hope it's not Clair or Charlie, I like them. Saied either, He's my favorite after Charlie! Well, eagerly anticipating you r next update! Until then your fellow LOST fan and faithful hero worshiper I remain. Update soon my precious! Galidea ;D
