Oh this is so wonderful! The bonds between the cousins and Sam are one of my very favorite themes--the love and loyalty between all four of them, the way in which they interact, the differences in how they relate, one to another--and this is a particularly well-done exploration of that, focussing on Frodo and Pippin, and with Sam as well, showing how the bond with Sam was welded by his love for Frodo...oh, I'm not making any sense, but you've just nailed it!

Thank you so much! You couldn't have made me happier with any other words. The bond between the hobbits - and the enitre fellowship, in fact - is one of the most important themes of the books for me. It makes it special. With this story I tried to show how it developed and grew.
