Ah, now I see where you're going with this. First impressions: *snif* Ah Sam, poor Sam, not to have his "one wish, to see him again". And brave Rose; always knew she was something special.

Indeed - I cannot believe I am writing this as I have always believed that Sam did indeed see Frodo again when he went into the West. But here I have him experience a different kind of "West" and so he must wait to see Frodo again, in that place that is beyond the Circles of the World. I hope having Rose seek to go in Sam's place can be realistically done and thank you for reading!

This is so heartbreaking, but at the same time very loving and gentle. There are few things Sam valued more highly than the keeping of a promise -- in this life, and beyond.
