'Drat,' Gimli muttered. Heehee. As usual, I'm liking the slightly crazy one... :-)

Larner · 21 March 2006 · Chapter 1
Okay--I'd missed this little compilation. The one from Boromir's point of view encouraging Pippin to live while under the troll is the most heartening; and the last of the fight over the mithril shirt is hilarious. Lovely!

Thanks, Larner! Sometimes an idea just wants a teensy scene written. I had a wonderful time writing these. :D

These were all wonderful, of course. Everything you write is so fresh and so "You" that I can recognize your style now. First you made me cry with "A Pale Light Lingers" and then you made me giggle with your take on what happened at the Black Gate. I'm so glad that you and so many other gifted writers are still giving us more of the Lord of the Rings universe to feed our addictions. Please don't stop. Julia

Oh Julia, thank you so much! A few years ago I never would have dreamed I'd have a "style" -- or that anyone would care if I did. What a joy to have people to share these stories with -- I promise, I have no intention of stopping. Thank you again.

And now four teensy reviews: 1) Really! 2) *giggles* 3) *sniff* 4) *lmao* Hobbits!

A woman of few words, but all of them fun! Thanks, Breon! (hobbits) :D

I love your drabbles. The last one made me giggle, which of course caused questioning looks from my friends on either side on me. ^.^ Ahh, good old high school...

Thank you, Trish! :D

*snor* I'm going to start with the last one because it made me laugh. That they would be arguing over who got the Mithril shirt instead of concerned over Frodo was great, just what that scene needed ;) "A Pale Light Lingers" that one nearly had the opposite effect on me and was near tears. I always like to think that somehow Boromir knew and saw everything that happened after he died. I mean he should have at least got that chance! "For Ears to Hear that Can" was splendid! I always find Shadowfax to be a curious character. There is quite a bit to him I think and that he would have heard this particular conversation between Gandalf and Pippinw as great. And of course "What Were They Thining" was splendid! I like the idea that it was Frodo who started calling Merry "Merry", and that he did because he didn't like his full name was cute! Thank you for sharing these! They're lots of fun!

Thank you for highlighting each little ficlet! And I agree with you -- "I always like to think that somehow Boromir knew and saw everything that happened after he died." He certainly deserves to have seen his 'little ones' safe, and his city in good hands. :D
Mysterious Jedi · 17 February 2005 · Chapter 1
The parody was funny, but I'm sure they'd give it back to Frodo anyways, LOL. Good thing Pip wasn't sworn to Aragorn yet.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh, my! That Boromir one was heartrending, with his voice so sweet and gentle in Pip's ear. Very well done!
Author's reply
Thank you. I like thinking that Boromir was looking after his little ones.
Pearl Took · 17 February 2005 · Chapter 1
Oh My!!! What a range of emotions that all elicited!!! And you definately placed them in the best order, I was nearly on the floor laughing over "What REALLY Happened at the Black Gate"!!! :) :) :) Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! (oh dear, now I sound like Lawrence Welk!) Most Excellent!!!
Author's reply
Thanks, Pearl! I usually hesitate before mixing serious with silly, but it's nice to "leave 'em laughing". :D
