Every so often I search out this sweet, beautifully written story and it never fails to move me. It is one of, perhaps the most, Tolkienesque portrayals of Aragorn, and of his relationship with Bilbo, that I have read in fanfiction.

A brilliant piece of work. The image of Aragorn sitting back in his great, ornate chair before a royal desk and writing, with a faint smile of memory, a letter to an old friend truly warmed my heart. Beautiful job.

That was just delightful! I so enjoyed reading this and loved the detail of the apple tasting. . . and the idea of Aragorn sending some to Bilbo for his journey. You created a wonderful relationship between these two characters and one that is often overlooked. Well done.
