That was a beautifully written story, although I feel it needs a little more after the end. What happens to Thranduil? Does he fade? Does he go to Valinor? What happens to Aragorn for that matter? I loved your piece, and it is a very well written one, but you might need to go a bit farther on the effect of the killing of Legolas/Saeragar on his closest friends and family. But, then again, the story ends beautifully without elaborating, but still the reader (in my opinion) wants more. It is a complicated emotion, but I feel as though you have done very well on this AU/CD piece. ~ArcherGal2932

Thank you for your kind words about my writing. I knew exactly how I wanted this story to end even before I started it. I didn’t want to write a long, emotional aftermath. In this case, I want the reader to visualize it however they choose. I can tell you, and Begrin hinted at it, that Thranduil, Galáril (and the elven partents in the forest) recovered once Saeragar died. How they and Aragorn handled Legolas's death I leave to your imagination. I don't usually do that, but in this case, I thought it was a viable way to end the story. Thanks again. I hope you will join me for my next story.

sofia · 25 June 2005 · Chapter 9

wow. what an end. So Legolas, Begrin, and Saeragar all die. wowie... can't believe you ended it like that, I'M STILL CURIOUS! -sofia

Author's reply

Ending it like that was my plan all along. I didn't want a long, emotional aftermath. I intended to let the readers visualize that however they chose. I can tell you this: Thranduil, Galáril and the two elven parents in the forest all recovered after Saeragar died. I hope you will join me for my next story. It will be quite different.

Galimeril · 21 June 2005 · Chapter 9

You evil, evil, evil, evil, evil, evil, evil, evil, evil, evil, EVIL person!!! how could you write such a good story and then end it like that? Do they get Thranduil back, what happened to the leadership of the realm? Ohhhhhh! Evil! Think you for such an enjoyable story, but you are soooo evil! To many cliffies!!!!! Write more! Galimeril ;D

Author's reply

Come on, now. Tell me what you really think. :o) Yes, I guess I am evil. Too let you know, Thranduil recovers and so does Garláril. Remember that Begrin said he didn't think they had been under Saeragar's control long enough not to recover. From the beginning, I had planned to end the story this way. I didn't want to go through a long, emotional aftermath. I'm glad you liked the story. I hope you will join me for the next one. It will be quite different. Author Reply: Well, I managed to mess up Galáril's name. And Too should be To.

Kitty · 14 June 2005 · Chapter 9

I can not believe that that is the end! It is an excellent story but are wondering if Thranduil and Galáril return to there normal selfs. I do love all of your storys so i am looking forward to your next one.

Author's reply

Yep, that is the end. Thank you. I'm glad you liked my effort. I couldn't really tell what happened to Thranduil and Galáril without going into the aftermath, which I didn't want to do. That's why I had Begrin say earlier that Thranduil would probably be all right, since he wasn't under Saeragar's control very long. The same goes for Galáril. They are fine. ;o) Thank you again. My next story will be called Dragonfire. It will be a serious action/adventure with a lot of humor in it. I hope to hear from you, when I start posting it.

" ... a pain so deep he knew he would carry it in his wounded soul for the rest of his days, Aragorn released his arrow." Aragorn needed to do that in order to save the world, but it was still heart-breaking. Now that Legolas' fea has fled to the Halls of Mandos, is he still in his " ... green forest of such unmatched beauty that he was sometimes reluctant to leave it."? I hope so. Epilogue???

Author's reply

It was heart-breaking, wasn't it? Even knowing that Legolas was already gone, firing that arrow had to be one of the hardest things Aragorn had ever done, or ever would do. I'd like to think of Legolas being in his private forest until he can leave the Halls and go to Valinor. That, at least, is comforting. No epilogue, I'm afraid. I wanted to end the story abruptly and not go into the aftermath, which an epilogue would have to do. I'll leave that part of the story up to the readers to envision.

Sweet Pea · 13 June 2005 · Chapter 9

That was so sad! :'-( But it was good! Great job!

Author's reply

Yes, I think it was painfully sad. Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.

sofia · 20 May 2005 · Chapter 7

I really hope that Saeragar doesn't take control of Legolas' body again and kill Thranduil, even with the four gaurds twenty yards away. -sofia

Author's reply

I hope so, too. Actually, I know what will happen. It's one of the perks of being the author. :o) The next chapter will reveal part of the answer.

Sindar90 · 11 May 2005 · Chapter 6

Saeragar is evil... i like him... This story is so evil... Evil is good... And i am from Finland... Is Legolas... i mean saeragar really going to kill Thranduil... It's so evil, and i like it...as much as i like your stories... p.s And there was absolutely nothing in this review... But hey, it just life... Have you heard anything about The Hitchhikers guide to the calaxy-movie? If you have...Tell me about it...I'm listening... T: Your Finish-reader

Author's reply

I tried to make Saeragar very evil. I'm glad you agree he is, because evil can be a lot of fun. Unfortunately, he isn't finished yet. Big trouble ahead for our heroes. Here's a summary of "Hitchhikers" that I found. I've seen a couple of the trailers, and it looks like it will be a fun movie. Author Reply: Ooops. Let me try that again. - In this adventure based on the best-selling novel of the same name, Arthur Dent's house is about to be demolished when he discovers that his best friend is an alien and that the entire planet Earth is about to be destroyed to make way for a hyperspace bypass! Seems Arthur's only chance for survival is to hitch a ride on a passing spacecraft.

Oh this is good. Very interesting and CLIFFHANGER! From looking at your other works, I have a feeling this will be long. *happy dance* Good job!

Author's reply

Thank you very much. I'm glad you are enjoying the story. It won't be as long as my other multi-chapter stories, but right now, I can't tell just how long it will turn out to be. Thanks again.

sofia · 25 April 2005 · Chapter 5

I am interested to see more about Begrin and I want to see them (aragorn and begrin) team up.

Author's reply

You will get both in the next chapter. :o)

sofia · 14 April 2005 · Chapter 4

Arondo's dead, I wonder what Legolas' reaction will be when he realized what happened. I'm glad Aragorn is finally making his appearance in the story. Loved it. -sofia

Author's reply

Legolas's reaction will be forthcoming. Knowing Aragorn, he will be determined to get to the bottom of things. Thank you.

Galimeril · 1 April 2005 · Chapter 3

Evil Person! I swear you are in leauge with the people who write lost! Both of you use nasty evil cliffies!!! Be gentle with poor Legolas! What are you gonna do to him anyway? I am just bouncing around in front of my computer, waiting to find out!! Updae really, really, really, SOON!!! As in now! Your antsy reader, Galimeril ;D

Author's reply

I just love Lost. I wish I was one of the writers of it. Nasty, evil cliffies? Surely you don't think I would ever do anything like that! :o) Things are not going to ge very well for Legolas, I'm afraid. Try not to bounce too hard. I'll update before too long.

sofia · 1 April 2005 · Chapter 3

interesting, interesting. I wonder what kind of danger Legolas could be in.

Author's reply

I'm glad you find it interesting. Things will be revealed as time goes on.

sofia · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 2

interesting, interesting. It would be interesting to see how Legolas will act now that he is possessed. -sofia

Author's reply

Thank you. Starting with the next chapter, you will see a Legolas I doubt you've ever seen before.

Galimeril · 22 March 2005 · Chapter 2

Oh no! Don't hurt poor Legolas again so soon! What has he done to deservre that? He just escaped the Howler poison! Poor elf, pleaaaaseee don't kill him! I love my Leggy! Great story so far thiugh! Galimeril

Author's reply

Well, since this is an AU story, what happened to Legolas before didn't happen to this Legolas in this universe. That should make you feel a little better. :o) You know we always hurt the ones we love. As for who dies, there will be several possibilites. Right now, it will be my little secret. Thanks for liking the story.

Merry_the_Hobbit · 16 March 2005 · Chapter 1

WOW! Very creative idea, and VERY well-written. I can't wait for you to type more... this story will be very cool!

Author's reply

Thank you so much. I'm glad you like the story so far and my writing style. I will be posting Chapter Two next week. I hope to see you then.

Sindar90 · 15 March 2005 · Chapter 1

Legolas is evil???? Yes, i like that!! =P Okay, grazy-me...But i have never seen anything like this... Oh, legolas is evil... Please make him be really evil... Buahhahhaaa.... that prologue you have written was so... evil...so... mean... So Perfect!!!! (Remember that i am from Finland... and my english sucks) But really good storie you have started, again...

Author's reply

I thought an evil Legolas, who runs around doing some pretty awful things, would be something different. Don't worry, Legolas, or rather the power that possesses him, will be very evil. I do remember you are from Finland, and your English is fine.

sofia · 14 March 2005 · Chapter 1

Right from the prolouge you get that feeling that makes you curious. Just like you to bring us right into a battle. Enjoyed it. Can't wait for more! -sofia

Author's reply

I wanted to jump right in with not only the mystery but some action, as well. I'm glad you like it. More soon.

Galimeril · 14 March 2005 · Chapter 1

YAY! You're back!!! I can't wait to see how this one turns out! You last one, Black Mountatin was brilliant, and I just love how you started this one out. Can't wait for more, update soon!!! Galimeril ;D

Author's reply

Yeah, I'm like a bad penny; I just keep showing up again. :o) Thank you. I'm certainly glad you like the beginning of this story. I like to jump right in and set the tone of a story early, and hopefully grab the readers, rather than just building up to the gist of the plot. I plan on updating later next week.
