Aww. I'm glad to have been reminded of this story (on the PippinHealers list). I love the way Pippin, too weak almost to move, gives orders and people jump to obey! Nice bit of weaving. Thanks for a comforting start to a busy week.

This was one of the first fanfics that I ever read a few months back, and I thought I would write and tell you how much this little story touched me. It led me to search for more Merry/Pippin stories, and now here I am writing in your challenges :) I hope you write more stories like this!

Ah, yes, I remember reading this during the challenge. So many special little things! The wordless conversation, the Shadow clinging to Merry, Pippin determined not to take the easy way, for love of his cousin. I sneaked online for a few moments to read something and am glad I did.
