You clever, clever little thing. Who would have thought of doing that as the topic for the story?!
Excellent! I loved it.
"Merry," Pippin said a moment later in realization, "I think you set the house on fire."
^ Brilliant, that's all I can possibly say. Great Job Pip. =D
Author's reply

· Chapter 6: Lipschitz
What is it about men and getting directions? I hope it doesn't take them too long to find the pace they're supposed to be. Lipschitz IS a funny name, Estella.
"All the ladies later had this to say about their husband’s unfortunate situations: They had it comin’!"
So true! I loved this story and I'm looking forward to more from you!

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed this all, and thank you for the feedback! :)

Brilliant! I laughed until I cried nearly. I love dthe way Estella tried to work around saying that Merry had got them lost in an effort to get him to do the sensable thing. I also loved how stubborn Merry was without being nasty about it all. Get use of the word, Lipschitz! Perfect for a counting house! This has been wonderful from start to finish. (and thank you for your kind words earlier about my Merr/Estella fiction) I personally like your take on them much better. I also thought the converstaion that Estella remembered about whether or not they needed to bring the blanket was terrific. I can't say enough about this one!
Author's reply
O, GW!
*runs at you at a hundred miles and hour and slams into you, hugging you quite suffocatingly* *takes a huge breath and starts rambling*
Thank you *SO* much (for you know what :) ), I honestly cannot tell you how happy I was, (and startled, to say the least) when I found out! I nearly fell out of my chair! I really really can't say how v. v. v. thankful/grateful/honored I am, that you would do such a thing.
Bwahaha! I am quite mad at the moment. lol.
But, really, I am so grateful to you, it is so heartening to know that someone really enjoys what I write, and just thankyouthankyouthankyou! I have been even more giddy and ridiculous than usual (which may or may not be a good thing lol)
*gasps for air* *lets go of you...ahem lol*
Ahem. And thank you for the wonderful comment! I thought Lipschitz was an excellent counting house name too... and what better way to make a holiday enjoyable than by throwing in some work! (cough cough) And about the blanket, I know that I am *always* cold, so I always bring a sweater, even during the summer, and people always look at me like I have 6 heads or something, and then we end up going somewhere that is blasting air conditioning at you at 1392742387 mph, and all that is left for me to do is look smug and warm, lol.
I'm so glad that you enjoyed the story the whole way through... you can thank Roxie and those mistresses of murderess row for the inspiration! :)

How clever! Loved both chapters! I just love Farry and Appleberry! How cute! I must admit, I had no idea how you were going to do "Cicero". Very, very clever. I am very impressed with this story so far and can't wait to see how you are going to do "Lipschitz"!
Author's reply
Thank you, Maiden :) I'm so glad you like the little tykes, I'm especially fond of them myself :P I'm gald that you liked how Cicero turned out, after all, as you said before, you were Cicero -- so it's good to get approval from an expert LoL! I should have the next chapter up soon (I'm hoping) I'm glad your enjoying the story enough to stick around for the next chapter! Thank you for the kind comments!

What did I just type? LOL My cat helped me with the review and so if you can't sort it out, I am dreadfully sorry. I loved how you put the song in this bit. I tired to type that before but it is a bit garbled. Little Apple makes more sense than I do tonight. LOL
Author's reply
LoL! O, no, it's perfectly alright. Half of the things I type make absolutely no sense -- that's why I always end up having to go back over them a ba-zillion times, because I am never paying attention to what I'm typing (and I never *do* go over them, so it just makes me seem rather incompetent and foolish lol).
It's alright about your cat (lol). At the moment, my cat is swishing her tail in my face/mouth/nose -- very unpleasant, and she doesn't seem to care that she is blocking my view of the screen.
I'm glad you liked the story!
I visted your LJ (I don't know how I managed to get there, I'm lost without a compass when it comes to anything remotely to do with computers) and it was so pretty! lol -- I read a story that you have there, I think you called it 'Strange Bed Fellows' lol which I *loved* (I'm a sucker for a good title), and I loved it! I don't know if you have it here on SoA...so I'll just tell you what I think of it here.
I felt so sorry for Pip! LoL. But I really loved the conversation with Merry and Estella toward the end -- how lovely and touching! I thought it was so poignant how he was afraid she wouldn't be able to except him as the changed hobbit he was, how he didn't want to expose her to his hurts (but it also was rather *stupid* of him, of *course* she would, Merry!)But it was so wonderful to see him finally able to open up, it was obvious he was hurting and needed her comfort. And also I love the bit about how she had loved him since childhood (I'm remembering something to do with tadpoles...?) as I too feel that they must have known and then admired each other since they were very young.
-- Well, great job on that! And thanks for reading! :)

LOL I love it! Her mum would have known what she was saying for the start. Mum's always know, but poor Merry! Too funny! I loved how you mamnage to work the sone in on this one. Estella will never leave Merry with the baby again after this one.

"Oh," Estella said, her delicate brows knitted a bit and she rubbed her hands off on her apron, "Well, I was just wondering if you knew you were supposed to mix them together."
LOL!:) Great Story~

Thank you! :) I feel bad for Faramir, having to eat all that disgusting dry bran! I'm glad you liked it!

And since you had answered me then with the exact ‘yes, sure whatever’ that Pippin had just described a moment ago... I can come to the conclusion that you weren’t listening to me, either," she finished mercilessly, and Frodo looked up, meeting her green-eyed gaze sheepishly.
LMAO!!!! The scenario EVERY woman has experienced with the men in her life! I'm loving this story and the idea to use the cell block tango set up to tell it is inspired-
Author's reply
It's true. If Frodo stopped tuning out, then maybe he wouldn't have to be cleaning up. Hehe! I have to admit I do feel sorry for him though...I do the very same thing when I am reading...I just kind of ramble an answer whenever someone asks me something -- hopefully something like this never comes of it! Thanks you so much for reading, I'm really happy that you are enjoying the story!

"All we needed to say was ‘dinner’?" He sighed and threw up his hands.
LOL! Another great Chapter--- Bravo!
Author's reply
I think I would be just as frustrated with Merry if I realized that too -- although, they *are* hobbits, they should have thought of food first! I'm glad that you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Author Reply: I mean, just as frustrated *as* Merry lol...although I probably would be frustrated *with* Merry too, Merry Gamgee, that it.

· Chapter 1: Pop!
Hilarious!!! Anyone who has ever had to put together a child's toy on Christmas Morning will totally understand Pippin's frustration-- although I LOVED the way Diamond brought peacefulness back to the household with the greatest of ease! Great Job!
Author's reply
See? If Pippin just listened to his wife more, then the catastrophe most likely never would have happened. (I'm sure Pippin wanted to play with the toy himself -- what other reason could there be for willingly setting up a toy so annoyingly complex? lol) I'm really really glad you liked it, thank you so much for reading! :)

This made me laugh out loud! I loved it and I kept thinking, mix them together, mix them together and he never did. LOL Just great!
Author's reply
Thanks GW! I feel sorry for poor Faramir, having to suffer through his father's lack-of common sense with the situation. Well, Pippin did *try* at least, and that's what counts, lol. Thanks for reading! :)

Oh, now that was a very big mess. Poor Frodo! I doubt he will listen the next time either. I have done the same thing when in the middle of an exciting book.Folks simply shouldn't talk to him while he is trying to read. I loved Pippin's reaction to it all.
Author's reply
I know it! People just don't seem to understand that when you are reading, no matter what anybody says to you, you aren't listening to them at all -- that's one of the fun things about reading! I suppose Frodo is going to have to shut the door and lock it next time he wants some peace. Thanks for reading!

· Chapter 2: Six
I laughed out loud at this one. Poor Merry up in the tree and then suddenly down out of it. Seems Sam is raising a troop of wild ones, isn't he? Lucky for him that Rosie knows what they want. I did think it was funny that Pippin Took was slightly amused by it all. I am guessing that he remembers his own adventures at that age. Looking forward to more!
Author's reply
Well, having thirteen children must be rather unlucky in itself, I should think... I sure wouldn't want to have to babysit that clan. There are always two things you can count on to control children: 1) their mother 2) food. (And most of the time the latter is more successful... as long as there is some sort of unhealthy element to it -- or rather that it is 100% sugar and you can't pronounce any of the ingrdients) lol I'm so glad that you liked it, GW!
I know that I am always up late at night writing, and sometimes, when you can't sleep and it's driving you out of your wits because it happens so bloody (ahem) often, you just need something to make you laugh! So, thankfully, I can always rely on Sam I'm thinking, lol. Thanks for reading! :)

ADORABLE STORY! Very, very clever beginnings! I love the second chapter especially! I have a feeling I know what "uh-uh" is going to be, but Cicero and Lipschitz? Hopefully nothing to do with "Number 17, the Spread Eagle"! Lol. Yes, I have seen Chicago waaay too many times! We did the Cell Block Tango for the talent show last year. I was Cicero! Good luck with your story and keep up the great work!
Author's reply
LoL! Well, I am *so* happy that you liked this! I'm really glad you liked how I've started it out... I couldn't help but think of all sorts of situations (/dilemmas) to get our favorite hobbits in while listening to the Chicago soundtrack! Thanks a lot for the feedback! :)

I loved it! I have also seen Chicago way too many times and own the sound track. I look forward to seeing how you work in all of the rest of this. I loved how easily Diamond distracted Faramir and Pippin's frustration with the directions and the toy. Simply wonderful!
Author's reply
Thank you GW! I was listening to the soundtrack the other day, and that is how I thought up the idea for this. I can only imagine how Pippin managed to reckon the patience to even start putting together that toy. (Although I am also quite sure he was probably following the directions wrong anyways lol)
I'm so glad you liked it :) I know that when I starting thinking up situations I was laughing to myself (something I am always doing), and people were staring at me like I was odd or something or the sort (how ridiculous! lol)
Anyways, thanks for reading! :)
