Having another person to care for really does change a bachelor's life in so many ways. Love to see the smaller ones too! And clever Bell.

Larner · 15 October 2007 · Chapter 35: I see hobbits everywhere, you know
Black and orange, eh? And now the pumpkin patch reminds Bergil of the Hobbits? Hehehehehehehe!
Author's reply
Am going to the pumpkin patch next week. Wonder how many hobbits will be there?
harrowcat · 13 October 2007 · Chapter 35: I see hobbits everywhere, you know
This gave me a giggle over on the other site so I am very pleased to see it here! BTW - I 'friended' you over there. Hope that you don't mind.
Author's reply
I don't mind at all. Will be happy to return the honour. I didn't see a notice from LJ; did you friend lindelea1? "lindelea" is not me, and sometimes people forget to add the number "1" to the userID. Thanks!
Pearl Took · 12 October 2007 · Chapter 35: I see hobbits everywhere, you know
LOL LOL LOL
Author's reply
Thanks!
Larner · 23 September 2007 · Chapter 34: Farewell by Starlight
Ah, so your Folco knows! Nothing ever happens to Freddy? Ah, if only! Love it, Lindelea.
Author's reply
Yes... from the comments I've read about Folco's not-knowing, I think I need to go back and read the early chapters again, to see if I missed something!
harrowcat · 23 September 2007 · Chapter 34: Farewell by Starlight
(laugh) Nothing ever happens to me! Oh yeah? Famous last words! Get ready for a shock Freddy life is about to change!
Author's reply
LOL! Perhaps I ought to have titled this one "Famous Last Words"!
eiluj · 23 September 2007 · Chapter 33: Topsy-Turvy
I'm sure Lobelia will thank Folco for his innovative furniture arrangement! At Caltech there is a tradition of pulling pranks on the dorm rooms. My father told me about one where they *did* nail someone's furniture to the ceiling -- everything was upside down! [Another prank involved moving one guy's stuff and carefully arranging it in the room one floor above his; another time they assembled a Model T inside someone's room.]
Author's reply
You know, I remember hearing similar stories! Hmmm. I remember once someone filled a dorm room entirely with balloons, such that you could hardly open the door. They must've climbed out through the window, but it was on the third floor, as I recall!
Larner · 21 September 2007 · Chapter 33: Topsy-Turvy
Ah, was just listening to Rob Inglis reading that yesterday. How wonderful if he were to do it literally! Heh!
Author's reply
Wouldn't it be? I can just picture it.
Larner · 21 September 2007 · Chapter 32: A Moot Point
Ah, I feel for him! I wanna go, too, and see some of my friends in Britain, and visit Doune again! (Larner throws herself down and weeps and mourns!)
Author's reply
Ah, yes. Haven't been to Scotland in years... I hope they all have a lovely time, but I wish I was there.
harrowcat · 21 September 2007 · Chapter 32: A Moot Point
Exactly how I feel! But I have to work so beer isn't a solution for me!
Author's reply
(Wanna know a secret? I don't like beer! Am a wine drinker. Old Winyards, mmm.)
harrowcat · 21 September 2007 · Chapter 33: Topsy-Turvy
*g* And imagine one very jealous fanfic reader standing at the bottom end of the UK waving frantically as the mooters fly over!
Author's reply
Ai, I can certainly imagine it! (Had hopes of going, back before our car died and we had to buy another.)
Raksha The Demon · 21 September 2007 · Chapter 7: Dernhelm's Ride
Personally, I'd have thought that staying at home and watching the pups play with the children much more pleasant than riding to almost certain death and then challenging an undead demon-king; but that's why I didn't get a place in the legends of my people, not to mention Faramir. Excellent drabble, btw.
Author's reply
Belated thanks! Somehow I missed seeing a lot of reviews from this period of time, sorry. LOL! (You're right, a high price to pay, even for Faramir. But I bet he was worth it.)
Agape4Gondor · 23 August 2007 · Chapter 7: Dernhelm's Ride
Well thought -
Author's reply
Thanks!
Agape4Gondor · 23 August 2007 · Chapter 6: Fireside Chats
Nasty little moment for Gandalf. Had he already lost Frodo and the quest not even begun yet?
Author's reply
Amazing, the echoes that tie end to beginning.
Agape4Gondor · 23 August 2007 · Chapter 5: The Silent Street
Hideous time for Beregond...
Author's reply
Absolutely.
Agape4Gondor · 23 August 2007 · Chapter 4: The Moon Sees Somebody I'd Like to See
My goodness - you write these drabbles well! Congrats. Another excellent piece. I love your little endings... but they would be as nothing without the beginnings...
Author's reply
Thanks! These two drabbles sprang from a song we sing when the moon's full, or nearly so.
Agape4Gondor · 23 August 2007 · Chapter 3: I See the Moon and the Moon Sees Me
Excellent! Perfect! Yup - just perfect.
Author's reply
Thanks!
Agape4Gondor · 23 August 2007 · Chapter 2: Questions
Oh bless Pippin -
Author's reply
Ah, yes, little ones can ask questions at a rate of one a minute... or faster.
Agape4Gondor · 23 August 2007 · Chapter 1: "And get my pipe out of my pack, if it isn't broken."
"May the Shire live for ever unwithered!" Nice job.
Author's reply
Amen to that!
Larner · 20 August 2007 · Chapter 31: Laughing Layabouts
An old joke, but always a good one--a little goose grease and soot would do it! (I once used some greasepaint stage makeup for a similar joke I pulled on a friend. Heh!)
Author's reply
Heh!
Antane · 19 August 2007 · Chapter 26: Respite
Not only do I have a hobbit after my own heart, but now a Man. A fellow dreamer and reader. Love it and him. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
Thank you! I think Frodo and Faramir had a lot in common, actually.
Antane · 19 August 2007 · Chapter 27: Sam and the Baker's Dozen
I love it! Ever practical Sam, so wise and loving! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
Very much so... down-to-earth and knowing just the right thing (and probably learned over the course of previous pregnancies...) *g* Thanks!
harrowcat · 19 August 2007 · Chapter 31: Laughing Layabouts
Ha, Ha! There is also a funny bit inoneof the HP books where Hermione falls foul of one of the Twins' telescopes andends up with a black eye!
Author's reply
I hadn't read that, but I can just imagine her reaction! Thanks!
shirebound · 19 August 2007 · Chapter 31: Laughing Layabouts
LOL, I remember that M*A*S*H episode. Oh, those wacky hobbits.
Author's reply
Wacky, yes, just the word. *g* Thanks!
