The beginning of this chapter was great. I loved Faramir's making the right choice - though, like Aragorn, it took me a moment to understand Faramir's sacrifice. And to take Sam with him. Wow. Nice going. Really makes the chapter thrilling. Poor Frodo. His and Aragorn's guilt is well written. And another Yikes! I couldn't believe it was Faramir and Sam - but they seem to have gone from the kettle into the fire!!!

Oh my! Now we get another perspective - a dark one. I love the thought that Denethor might consider an alliance with Mordor. Gave me shivers. And Faramir 'knowing' he was being watched. Perhaps because his father watched him with 'his' Palantir? Fascinating. Looking forward to more.

Your Gimli's voice is really good. I loved Faramir's bruised fingers. Legolas is interesting. Can't wait to see more. I miss Boromir but am looking forward to reading this. BTW - I'm not skipping through but I probably won't comment on every chapter. I do so hope this will be posted to completion.

Thanks for the lovely review ^_^ Glad you enjoyed the first chapter and that you're skipping through (as the first 10 or so chapters were written many many years ago and don't want too much scrutiny ;)) If you can push your way through the first half of the story you'll get some Boromirishness later on :) and yup - it will be completed :) Thanks again!

I think this is the same new chapter you posted at ff.net. It's very, very good. Loved the meeting of Faramir and Eowyn; his impression of her is wonderful. But you ARE going to continue and eventually finish this story, aren't you? Poor Faramir has got to get some medical attention for his wound or he could get a bad infection; and that's the least of his worries now that Saruman The White has come to call at the head of an Uruk-hai army. Is there any way for Legolas, Faramir and Pippin to get out of there before the traitorous wizard takes over management of Edoras? And take Eowyn with them, since I imagine that Grima will claim her as a reward for facilitating Saruman's coup? Please update soon!
