And make it he did, bless him the more for it!
Author's reply
I have the most respect for Frodo at this time in the book. I mean Mordor was hard but this was the first obstacle he had and he passed it with flying colors-- to endure pain for that long! awww Frodo! We loves you! :)

· Chapter 14: Conquering Fear
It would be such a good skill, and for just this reason, for Frodo to develop. Good for him!
Author's reply
I always see Frodo as being courageous and Bilbo to ready him with all the confidence and skills he needs to succeed. :) Thanks for reading and reviewing!

· Chapter 13: With me...Till the End
A special thanksgiving offered, and again the scene from the movie recalled, overlying the book story.
They are not as they were; yet are even more themselves in the end.
Author's reply
I love that scene in the Green Dragon movie-verse and always think that Frodo did have a lot to be thankful for amidst all that he has lost. All the hobbits grew at the end and i just find that so profound...just kind of reflects Tolkien's perception of what war and battles do to young soldiers...

· Chapter 3: More than Meets the Eye
And this one surprised himself by becoming a Hobbit warrior indeed, in spite of his expectations or those of anyone else. Love to see Boromir appreciating the Hobbits.
Author's reply
I like moments in which hobbits and the "Big People" understand each other a bit more; especially when it involves appreciating and understanding one another more. :)

Other than that the eyes of newborns tend to appear blue for a time before they become the color they will have most of the child's life, this is wonderful.

· Chapter 11: Memories
The desire to be certain the other side was well and happy and fulfilled must have been terrible for both sides to bear at times. A lovely birthday you've given the two of them.

Aragorn was not the only one who had the name of Hope... Sam was named well too. Thanks for this story! You quoted one of my favorites from Book IV.
Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
I'm glad that you enjoyed this~! and indeed, Sam's name that Tolkien mentioned in the HIstory of Middle Earth is so true. :) Hope Unquenchable indeed. :) I love that quote from Book IV as well. :)

And they look in hope that the fool's hope will meet the need.
Lovely moment between Faramir and Pippin here.
Author's reply
THank you very much! i think it was a plausible scene to write about given the fact that Pippin did eventually name his son "Faramir" indicating that Pippin has much respect for Faramir.

I, too, am always happy to see Frodo assured he's in the right place with the right guardian at last. And so glad he still wishes to return to Buckland at times to see Merry and his family there.

It's sweet to know that Frodo is loved by so many relatives and friends even though his parents are gone. I'm sure that Bilbo pampered our dear Frodo. :)

(“Well, I hope Pippin doesn’t fly away— that will be no fun. I think I should train him to be a real hobbit lad,” Merry grinned mischievously.)
How true! Merry certainly has a hand or two in training Pippin and that's for sure. Lovely beginning to their friendship and a very sweet story!
