Beautiful and yet sad. Frodo's realization that he can not be healed in the Shire is just so sad. Oh, and Happy Birthday! :D

Oh, Antane, it's so sad, but so sweet! Thank you! Poor Frodo! But yes, it will be all right, even if it takes them both a while to realise it. Very poignant and an interesting look at how Frodo might have come to his decision. Happy birthday!
God bless,
Galadriel

The image of two pairs of hobbits lying head to heart is beautiful Antane. Heart entwined even in sllep. Lovely snippit!

Hannon le, my dear harrowcat! Glad you enjoyed. I had a dream of Frodo and Sam such and this came out of it.
Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

A very interesting mix of movie- and book-verse. And I do believe Frodo was in part influenced to come back by Sam's influence. I wrote part of it into "The Colors of Passing" and part into "The Ties of Family."
Nicely done, Antane.
Author's reply
Hannon le, Larner! I appreciate it so much. I like the idea of Frodo following Sam as opposed to Sam following Frodo. I don't think the two would have wanted to be apart no matter what.
Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Ohhh, this is so gentle and loving!
Their souls were nearly merged into one, Aragorn saw. Where one went, the other would follow. And Sam had still wanted to live. So Frodo had chosen that also.
...as the gardener’s arms encircled his dear master and dearer friend and Frodo sighed as his arms wrapped his beloved guardian and he placed his head where he could hear that much loved heartbeat.
He leaned down and kissed each dear head softly
*sigh* So lovely!

Ooooo! I get to be the first reviewer! :) This is very sweet, and you really capture Aragorn's love for the hobbits very well. I hope there are lots more of these little ficlets!
God bless,
Galadriel
