I glimpsed two hobbits embracing by the shore. I wept with joy, knowing that my dad was whole again. Lovely little tale! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane

What a beautiful thought! I love that!

cookiefleck · 17 August 2006 · Chapter 4: Seashell

Very sweet. The next time I have a shell to my ear, I will think of Sam and of your story.

And a lovely inspiration the whale watch turned out to be. Lovely to think that Elanor felt her dad was now whole, once he'd found those white shores and his beloved master again.

Larner · 17 August 2006 · Chapter 3: Fireworks

Oh, and this, too, is a most lovely one! The Wizard knows his audience, even the unseen part of it. And this one was indeed for Aragorn, I think. Lovely, lovely, lovely!

Larner · 17 August 2006 · Chapter 2: Finer Things in Life

Now, this is a cool story. I like the idea that Smeagol's family had found Isildur's remains, and that perhaps this led to the finding of the Ring by Deagol.

Larner · 17 August 2006 · Chapter 1: Darkness

Yes, I think the return to consciousness would have been quite difficult to process for the poor Hobbit. Bless Gimli for his persistence.

harrowcat · 5 July 2006 · Chapter 3: Fireworks

Oh this is really good Clever Hobbit! The way that you have used canon and extended one of the descriptions just enough to turn it into the White Tree and make it into a beacon of hope for Aragorn and the Rangers is absolutely brilliant. Anything that makes me go back and check THE book has either upset, annoyed or intrigued me! :)

harrowcat · 12 June 2006 · Chapter 2: Finer Things in Life

An interesting gap-filler Clever Hobbit, if a little gruesome! Still it is nice that such beauty can come from the ending of a man.

harrowcat · 26 March 2006 · Chapter 1: Darkness

You are right in that this is certainly NOT fluffy! *g* But it is great way to link these two entrapments!

SlightlyTookish · 25 March 2006 · Chapter 1: Darkness

This is a very interesting take on the troll incident, I don't think I've seen it comapared to Old Man Willow but the similarities are definitely there! You did a wonderful job of showing Pippin drift in and out of conscious. I enjoyed this very much!

shirebound · 25 March 2006 · Chapter 1: Darkness

I just love this analogy between Pippin's first 'crushing' experience and his second. How I adore Gimli's concern... and joy when Pippin was found.

Grey Wonderer · 25 March 2006 · Chapter 1: Darkness

i enjoyed how this went back to the events with Old Man Willow and Tom. Very interesting look at Pippin's time beneath the Troll and his thoughts upon being rescued. I enjoyed this very much.

Larner · 25 March 2006 · Chapter 1: Darkness

Ooh, still another Pippin rescue story, and such a particularly WONDERFUL one! To tie it to Old Man Willow's malice and to mistake Gimli for Tom Bombadil--oh, it fits so very well. Lovely!
