At least it wasn't some nasty polluting litter he stepped on. Oh for the idyllic Shire. I have just been away in Norfolk for three days and, in this heat, I totally echo Pippin - when can I go swimming again?

I didn't want it to be anything too bad...although, after Saruman's done with it, who knows what unsuspecting young hobbits would find in the Shire? Thanks for reading! :)

So glad this was recommended on the pippinhealers list! I hadn't read it before. Very cute, nice interaction between the young hobbits, a bit of heart-stopping tension, and a happy conclusion. Whew!

A good wee story :) "She was a jolly, motherly sort, and she bustled around Pippin, clucking her tongue and fussing over him until Pippin blushed and quite forgot his pain." I love that! A very nice read, ST :) Thank you!
