· Chapter 24: The Stranger - Strider and Edric (OC)
Ah--our Strider has a thing for inns no matter where he goes, apparently. And it is amazing how much a simple smile can change ones appearance!
Lovely, Misty.
Author's reply
Thanks. Yes, Rangers out on patrol get very cold and hungry, and must take advantage of inns wherever they find them. :) That smile certainly did change the boy's opinion of him.

· Chapter 26: The Return - Strider and Edric (OC)
I'd managed to miss this one, too! Oh, what a wonderful meeting of old acquaintances! Thank you!
Author's reply
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had fun having the two meet again, so many years later. I thought Edric would like to have his questions answered after all that time.

· Chapter 20: Mirror Image - Elrond, Elladan and Elrohir
Ah, those memories would be bought to light by this double birth. Lovely!
Author's reply
Yes, I agree that Elrond couldn't help but think about Elros as he held his twin sons for the first time. Thanks.

· Chapter 19: Stirrings of Destiny - Elrond
Yes, it must happen, to the grief of many but to the needs of Middle Earth.
Author's reply
I'm sure it must have been very hard for all of them to watch the fellowship walk off, knowing how small the chances were for their success.

· Chapter 18: Right to Fight - Eowyn
Marvelous reasoning, and as great a motivation as seeking death to deal with the feelings of rejection! Marvelous!
Author's reply
Thanks. I often wondered just what truly prompted Eowyn to become Dernhelm and ride off with the Rohirrim. This was my attempt to look into her mind at that pivotal moment.

· Chapter 21: Comfort - Frodo and Gandalf
Such needed reassurance after so long and intense a period of privation.
Author's reply
I can't even imagine what Frodo thought when he woke up and found himself in a place of safety after his last memory of Mordor. It must have been quite a shock to the system.

· Chapter 17: Gaining Trust - Sam and Aragorn
To trust Aragorn with Frodo's life would be the greatest, greatest sign of trust Sam could show anyone. Lovely!
Author's reply
True. And anyone who knew how protective he was of Frodo would understand how much trust he showed in that moment.

· Chapter 15: Remembrance - Fellowship and other characters
This memorial was so necessary for all.
Author's reply
Yes. Taking the time to remember and honor those who fell in battle was such an important thing for them to do.

· Chapter 10: Sweet Surrender - Arwen and Aragorn
Ah, this wonderful moment--so romantically displayed.
Author's reply
Thank you. I had fun writing this moment and musing over what Arwen thought when she saw him again.
Definitely a movie moment. And I'm glad it never worked like this.
Author's reply
Oh, I'm glad it never happened in the book. I definitely prefer the book version to the movie version. In the book, Aragorn never tried to push her away like this, he respected her decision.
Indeed, silence at times itself can be oppressive.
Lovely one that I see I missed in the past. Don't have time to read more now, but will check the other out as I can.
Author's reply
Silence can be quite difficult to deal with at times, especially when a person desires to have someone else to talk with, to share company with. I can see how at times, it would have weighed quite heavily on Frodo.

· Chapter 51: In Dreams - Arwen and Aragorn
I always loved that Arwen and Aragorn had this beautiful connection between them, a "world only they shared." Care to write this moment through Aragorn's POV? This is truly wonderful!

Author's reply
I am glad you took so much enjoyment from this. At the moment, I have no plans to write Aragorn's POV, but we'll have to see what ideas the next prompts bring.

She would wait until he slept, then bring him into the world only they shared.
Lovely. You did a great job filling out that brief quote from the book.
Author's reply
Thank you. That brief quote has always intrigued me, and I loved this chance to explore how it related to their lives.

· Chapter 50: A Perfect World - Aragorn, Arwen
Kissing, they are kissing, just wait till Elrond finds out. Just kidding, I actually love the two of them together.
Author's reply
LOL Well, I doubt Elrond was too pleased with them for the whole betrothal thing. A kiss here and there would be small compared to that. But I'm glad you liked this. I always enjoy writing the two of them together.

· Chapter 49: The essentials of life - Elrond, Estel
Nothing like the heat of summertime to get to a child. But lots of cold water perk things up a bit, good for both elves and kid.
Author's reply
I agree. Swimming was always my favorite way to beat the summer heat as a child. I'm sure Estel was quite glad that Elrond thought of it.

They certainly went further than have any others since toward accomplishing those goals. Not since Elros's own day had any been able to go so far.
Author's reply
True. Aragorn and Arwen did so much to help create that world of peace that they all wished for. Having each other to rely on helped them accomplish what many thought could never be done.

· Chapter 50: A Perfect World - Aragorn, Arwen
"As you journey the paths your life will take you down, remember tonight. Hold to us, to the love we share. You will show the world how it can be a better place, how love can overcome hate, caring and compassion can overcome pride, and the truth will always triumph over deceit. You will help build a world of peace, Aragorn, and I will be at your side as you do, helping you to do so."
How wonderful. I'm sure this is a memory and a strength that would sustain them both in the years to come.
Author's reply
I agree. I'm sure that Aragorn and Arwen thought back to that night a great deal in their lives, a memory to keep them going and striving for that world of peace.

Sometimes, children are much like plants. To keep one happy, they need to be watered every now and then."
This is great! *grin, grin* And sometimes it is also true that, like plants, too much water can kill them, or so some teens think when asked to bathe!
Happy Birthday dear Misty!

Thanks! Oh, I'm sure Estel's reaction would have been much different if Elrond had pointed him to a bathtub. LOL I'm happy you liked this.

This is very sweet. It must be difficult for Elves to understand the frailties of Men, but these three try very hard to do so.
Author's reply
Yes, these three do try very hard to understand this young member of their family. I'm sure Estel is quite happy that Elrond thought to take them all swimming.

Nothing like a birthday party, with new friends and family arround. Was there cake too? I bet the twins made great brothers and have many fine stories to tell.
Author's reply
Well, I don't know if there was cake, but I'm sure they had a great celebration. And I'm sure once the twins started telling tales, others drifted by to listen. ;)

I thought so. ;-) The story just wasn't finished until the twins showed up to share in the celebration. I'm sure Aragorn was quite surprised and thrilled to see them.
