sweet. i like your story so far. you had me crying in some areas. I hope you continue your story, it is really good!!
Duchess · 25 August 2004 · Chapter 8: Saying Goodbye
Gave up awful quick, didn't they? Just proves Thranduil really didn't care for his son after all, if you ask me, but I thought Isal cared more. You don't lament the dead until you're sure they are, for heaven's sake! *disgusted with the lot of them* Young Randil is the only one showing any sense at all and he's an Elfling!
Duchess · 25 August 2004 · Chapter 7: Horrific Revelations
What a terrible education for legolas to recieve. I hope that evil human rots in whatever hell there was and the maid goes to the Halls of Mandos to never feel pain again. I'm assuming you're gonna let Legolas live, of course. :)
Duchess · 25 August 2004 · Chapter 6: Unlikely Allies
Glad there were no misunderstandings that led to tragedy, but everyone sure is taking their sweet time in rescuing Legolas! *on to the next chapter*
Duchess · 25 August 2004 · Chapter 5: Sacrifice
WHY didn't Isal TELL them Legolas wasn't Teril? Please don't let the brave little elfling die?
Duchess · 25 August 2004 · Chapter 4: Becoming Friends
Who is the nasty speaker the other two princes didn't overhear? I smell trouble there. Oh crap, looking like his older brother is NOT a good thing for Legolas, is it? I hope no one is killed off in the next chapter... *hurrying to go read it now*
Duchess · 25 August 2004 · Chapter 3: Surprises
Okay, again I say tht Thranduil should be smacked. I hope his wife no longer shares his bed, because after this she really shouldn't! I'm glad legolas chose the nice boy and I'm sure he'll be a fine warrior with such a good friend and the nice teacher. :)
Duchess · 25 August 2004 · Chapter 2: Decisions
Now I know the other children's names, thanks. So Teril was a bad child, huh? Does that excuse him being killed? Was he killed in retaliation for something? I'm confused! One point I am NOT confused on is that if I'd found MY child being so cruel to an animal he'd have been beaten soundly, made to give the creature a proper burial and then I'd have beaten him again. You do NOT let kids ever think being cruel like that is acceptable! Both Nana and Ada are responsible for that Teril turning out wrong like he did. *shaking my head* Making Legolas go stand out there like that was kinda mean. I wouldn't have done that to him, but I don't know the traditions you have created for your elves here, there's no precedent for the reader to go by. I'm hooked into the story though, so on to the next part. :)
Duchess · 25 August 2004 · Chapter 1: Yearning
How awful of Thranduil to not even acknowledge his son! If I were the Queen I'd take my children and leave, go to Rivendale or Lorien. You implied there are others, where are they and what are their names? How old are they?
Duchess · 25 August 2004 · Chapter 0: Prologue
What a happy and yet sad start! Were the evil murderers ever found? If not, why not? I want them punished! Grrr I know this is a fic in progress, but I'm reading it anyway because I take a long time to update too. *noticing the date on the last addition to the fic* Hope you can post more soon and I'm working my way toward the last entry, with reviews of each chapter as I go. :)

Lorwen · 26 August 2003 · Chapter 1: Yearning
Oooooohhhh, poor little elfling. I want to hold him and huggle him for the rest of his long life!!!! It was to be expected that Thranduil wouldn't care so much for him after that prologue. But keeping him in the nursery to sleep that's just awfull!!! I can really relate to Legolas feeling so lonely when all his friends were practising archery and he had to sit and watch. And I can imagine him sitting there, totally bored to death! "All of Greenwood knew better then to get into the middle of a Royal battle and this one looked to be cataclysmic." uh-oh you'd better watch it when a she-elf gets angry, especially when it's about her child :p Oh well, every mother get's angry when it's about their child :p I like the name you gave his mother though: Elriowiel I wonder what that means... Please post more soon! Lorwen
Lorwen · 26 August 2003 · Chapter 0: Prologue
Awww, not of to a very good start for that poor little green leave. It's not his fault that his eldest brother got killed in a stupid dare. A child can never be replaced, he of all people should know that. Very little is writen about the birth of an elf, even less about Legolas' birth. Or what happends to mother and child after birth for that matter. Good prologue and of to a good start for another dazzeling fic!!! Can't wait to read more! *wink* Lorwen
xsilicax · 26 August 2003 · Chapter 1: Yearning
Yay! Go Elriowiel(sp). You go and kick some sense into silly Thranduil. Women always know what's best. *Runs and gives Legolas a swift hug* CAthy. xx
xsilicax · 26 August 2003 · Chapter 0: Prologue
Oh, it's been a while since I read the first chapter, and it hasn't lost any of its power. It is great how you establish the relationship, and even 'rivalry' in the eyes of Thranduil, between Legolas and Teril from the start. You can already sense how Legolas' father will love from afar. That Legolas will forever be paired with Teril. Cathy. xx
