Who would have thought balrogs could be cute? Everybody thinks elflings and Estel are the only cute ones. This story proves that's not always the case. Just out of curiosity, which one is Durin's Bane, and which one is the one killed by Glorfindel during the Fall of Gondolin?
Kitt of Lindon · 18 April 2004 · Chapter 999: Epilogue: "All Grown Up."
Well, this was a sweet story. Is sweet the right word? I never thought Balrogs could be cute. Ugh, there's that 'c' word again. Perhaps now I will never be able to watch that Moria scene in the FotR the same way again.
Kitt of Lindon · 18 April 2004 · Chapter 9: Chapter Nine: "Go to Bed!"
Oh, poor, poor, poor Ondo! There is naught more scary than Melkor turning into a kitten!
Kitt of Lindon · 18 April 2004 · Chapter 8: Chapter Eight: "Play Fair!"
I practically fell over with shock. They play squish-the-Elves-with-boulders?! And a poem about a hundred different ways to kill an Elf? Bad, bad, bad Melkie. I did feel ever so sorry for Gomig, though. I have a better idea of the horrors they thought up at the sack of Gondolin.
Kitt of Lindon · 18 April 2004 · Chapter 7: Chapter Seven: "Do not get Blood on the Carpet!"
Oh, yes, the story of the first Orc must certainly be delightful. Those little terrors, going off to make an Orc-bird. No wonder Legolas was terrorfied of that Balrog.
Kitt of Lindon · 18 April 2004 · Chapter 6: Chapter Six: "When will you Grow Up?"
What is this thing involving a mace, crushed ice, and a captured Elf? Perhaps I don't want to know... Poor Melkie, before he knows it his Balroglings will be all grown up.
Kitt of Lindon · 18 April 2004 · Chapter 5: Chapter Five: "All I ask is some basic manners..."
Never would have thought Melkor gave thanks before meals either. The Balroglings have great table manners, they remind me of my brothers'.
Kitt of Lindon · 18 April 2004 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four: "For the patience of Ilúvatar."
Heh, I never would have guessed Melkor would still give Manwe birthday gifts.
Kitt of Lindon · 18 April 2004 · Chapter 3: Chapter Three: "I shall count to ten..."
I could not help but crack up at the thought of Sauron babysitting. It so funny how they are encouraged to be evil and the oposites of all those things that most normal parents find 'good'.
Kitt of Lindon · 18 April 2004 · Chapter 2: Chapter Two: "For the Love of Eru!"
Hah! I have finally been able to read this! Well, I've certainly never seen anything like it. It is quite amusing to see a softer side of Melkor. I like how he has found out the joy of his creation. Who knew?
