Aww! *hugging wee Frodo* That's *so* adorable. :) I myself was crushed when my parents told me that Santa wasn't real. I was always...a believer. I still get excited with my younger siblings even though I know it's not real. :) Namarie and Merry Christmas!
Truly yOUrs,
Frodo Baggins

Lovely story!
Gandalf loved the Shire and *his* hobbits. So he might have done exactly this: providing Yule presents for little hobbit lads and lasses who believed in him. It seems Drogo received a "Gandalf" Yule present himself when he was young.
Thank you very much and happy holidays to you and your family!
Author's reply
You're right! Drogo must have got his present because he believes too. :)
Thank you very much for reading and your lovely feedback. Happy holiday to you too!

How lovely and magical! What a beautiful tale. I love that Gandalf and Frodo now have such a long history :)
Author's reply
That will explain their close relationship.
Thank you very much for reading!

“Gandalf! You came after all.”
“I certainly did,” replied Gandalf with his deep, rumbling voice. “I can never disregard a child’s hopes.”
There was nothing else in all Middle-earth that Primula had ever desired more than the sight of her only son beaming with elation like this. It was as if the light from both the moon and the sun had brightened his face and the sparks of the stars had made Frodo’s eyes even more luminous than usual.
What a lovely Yule story! *grins*

Aw lovely, Gandalf must have been a mite busy that night - but then, who knows all of Gandalf's powers!
Just a tiny niggle = you keep faith IN a person or you PUT faith on a person.
Author's reply
Oh, thank you so much for your input! I've edited it. :D
Oh yeah. I can imagine now how busy he is.

So--NOT Father Yule or the Yule Dwarf, but Gandalf himself, is it? And Gandalf didn't wish to see this small Baggins disappointed, eh? Lovely.
Author's reply
Ah, I didn't think of Father Yule. :)
Thank you so much, Larner.
And Merry Christmas to you!
