A bitter-sweet but lovely and gentle tale Linda.

Great-grandfather and great-great grandfather, watching the new generation come as the older one fades, and Faramir's memory lives on in his namesakes. So I have the family realize that Eldarion's daughter comes even as her grandmother removes herself from Gondor to find her own way in my own story. Yes, death and birth are but opposite sides of the same coin.

Beautiful, sad, and sensitively written account of my favorite Steward's passing. He was lucky to have such a good friend in Aragorn; but you also conveyed the impression that Faramir was beloved by many. The birth of the great-grandson of Faramir and Aragorn, close upon Faramir's death, is a nice touch.
