Celeste Lucretia Black · 14 May 2021 · Chapter 1: It's About Time

Wait a minute. Are Merry's eyes grey or blue?

Celeste Lucretia Black · 14 May 2021 · Chapter 2: Regarding Ents

Oh, Sam!

Celeste Lucretia Black · 14 May 2021 · Chapter 3: Pippin's Protector

Pippin has matured so much after the quest

Celeste Lucretia Black · 14 May 2021 · Chapter 4: A Birthday Double Drabble

That's after he got crushed by the troll, isn't it?

Celeste Lucretia Black · 14 May 2021 · Chapter 5: Merry's Responsibility

Both of you, please, stop crying

Celeste Lucretia Black · 14 May 2021 · Chapter 6: Matchmaker

Awww this was so sweet;

Grey Wonderer · 5 July 2008 · Chapter 6: Matchmaker

I read it on LJ and then read it again here. This is very sweet and Merry can be proud of the match he's helped to make. You should try writing a romance. You're off to a good start here.

Author's reply

I never thought of writing a romance before! I may just expand on this little drabble... Thanks for reading, GW, and I'm so glad you liked it.

harrowcat · 5 July 2008 · Chapter 6: Matchmaker

It was as if they had been born to dance together. A match made in the heavens. Lovely PipMer.

Author's reply

Thank you harrowcat! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Larner · 4 July 2008 · Chapter 6: Matchmaker

Oh, I love our Merry as matchmaker any time; and this is so wonderful! Merry setting up his Pippin! Yay!

Author's reply

Thank you, Larner! This was really fun to write; I can definitely see Merry trying to set Pippin up with someone who would make him happy.

Larner · 23 June 2008 · Chapter 5: Merry's Responsibility

And indeed it proved to remain a lifetime bond--and a blessed one at that!

Author's reply

Yes indeed... brother of the heart from the very beginning.

Esquire_of_Rohan · 23 June 2008 · Chapter 5: Merry's Responsibility

Very good. I really enjoyed this!

Author's reply

Thank you, esquire, for reading and for commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Grey Wonderer · 23 June 2008 · Chapter 5: Merry's Responsibility

Read it on the LJ but read it again here so I'm leaving another review. This was very sweet. Loved Merry in this and also liked his mother's pride in her darling son.

Author's reply

Thank you, GW. I tried to pull from my experiences watching my baby brother and sister, and the frustration I would feel from time to time.

Larner · 19 May 2008 · Chapter 4: A Birthday Double Drabble

Certainly not the most--auspicious day on which to be incapacitated. Nice pair here.

Author's reply

Thank you, Larner!

Antane · 17 May 2008 · Chapter 4: A Birthday Double Drabble

Sweet love. As much as FrodoandSam are two souls knitted together to make one, so are MerryandPippin. I do like your stories! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Thank you for the kind comments, Antane! They are much appreciated.

Grey Wonderer · 16 May 2008 · Chapter 4: A Birthday Double Drabble

Lovely to see something new from you. This is very sweet and sad all at once. Great writing as always.

Author's reply

Thank you, GW! I had a bit of writer's block for awhile, but I may be coming out of it :)

harrowcat · 16 May 2008 · Chapter 4: A Birthday Double Drabble

Oh yes! A very happy birthday Pippin & Llinos too!

Author's reply

Thanks, harrowcat!

Antane · 1 May 2008 · Chapter 3: Pippin's Protector

A loving tale. How it must have ripped their hearts apart to be separated like that at the end when they had always been together before. The film Return of the King is one big four hour favorite scene, but if I had to name individual scenes, I would have as one, Merry watching Pippin and Gandalf gallop off. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

That is also one of my favourite scenes... that, and good-bye scene inside the barn, when Merry gives Pippin the rest of the Longbottom Leaf. Thank you for commenting!

Andrea · 1 May 2008 · Chapter 3: Pippin's Protector

Great little story! I loved how Merry came to be Pippin's protector. And I hope Pippin was awake long enough to hear it, too ;-) Gandalf is the most powerful protector one could wish for. But still, being not at Pippin's side will be very difficult for Merry, and vice versa. It is a good thing that WE know that those two will be reunited again!

Author's reply

Indeed, hindsight is a lovely thing, isn't it? Thank you for commenting!

Esquire_of_Rohan · 30 April 2008 · Chapter 3: Pippin's Protector

Very good. I really enjoyed this piece.

Author's reply

Thank you, Esquire! I'm very glad that you enjoyed it.

Larner · 30 April 2008 · Chapter 3: Pippin's Protector

Ah, but a Merry will have his own hands all to full of having to watch out for himself all too soon; but he will have Dernhelm to feel protective of.

Author's reply

Very true... he will replace a hobbit with a ... woman! Thanks for reading!

harrowcat · 2 February 2008 · Chapter 2: Regarding Ents

Hmm....sounds to me like there are some distinct similarities between Ents and Hobbits. No wonder the Ent Wives would like the Shire.

Author's reply

Lol...indeed, harrowcat! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Pearl Took · 30 January 2008 · Chapter 2: Regarding Ents

“Talking trees! If that don’t beat all.” Indeed! I was so glad that Tolkien has the Company stop by Isengard on the way back to Rivendell, if only so Sam and Frodo could meet the Ents! Lovely PipMer :-)

Author's reply

Thank you, Pearl! I'm so glad you enjoyed my little story. I'm really sorry for the tardy response ... I had forgotten about some of my reviews, and just let them languish!

Pearl Took · 30 January 2008 · Chapter 1: It's About Time

This is so sweet PipMer! I just love Merry jumping down and running to the Took's smial because he's so eager to see his new cousin.

Claudia · 30 January 2008 · Chapter 2: Regarding Ents

This is simply adorable! :-)) I love it when the hobbits talk about Ents.

Author's reply

Thank you Claudia! I'm sorry for the tardy response :(

Larner · 29 January 2008 · Chapter 2: Regarding Ents

Ah, yes, how easily I can see this happening! Poor Sam--totally out of his reckoning, what with abnormally tall Hobbits and the tales of talking trees--and finding Gandalf was alive and by him when he woke! Well told.
