The Old Took is a poet who don't know it! Hee, very cute collection! I'd pass on kissing the wart for free, or otherwise.....

Oh, the Old Took has some brilliant verses in him! These were fantastic! Gotta love that last one... ;-) I'd like to see more from him.

Author's reply

The Old Took and I thank you :-) That last one is a gross one - LOL He has written a few more but some are being held for stories they are inspiring ;-) Thank you PF!

Bravo! Bravo! Ogden Nash eat your heart out! These were delightful.

Author's reply

Thank you GW! This has been so fun. The Old Took has been happily surprised at the number of hits his efforts have received and the pleasant, encouraging responses. We are so glad you enjoyed them :-)

Ah, when there are so few Hobbit settlements anywhere but in the Shire and Bree, it doesn't leave room for much originality in the rhymescheme, I see. Heh! Cute.

Author's reply

Yes, that is a handicap. I might have to share some Shire town names with the Dear Man ;-) Thank you so much, Larner, for reading and responding!

Hahaha! Jolly limericks! But the last one, eeeewwwww! But it's funny too!

Author's reply

Yeah, that one is gross - LOL Glad you liked them, Neilia, and thank you so much for leaving your fun comment :-)

Those are adorable! I like seven and eight the best. (Your DH reminds me of my DH! The other day, out of the blue, he came up with this epitaph for LotR fans: Here I died Here let me lie. It's not in heaven. It's not in hell. I hope to God It's Rivendell.) And to this I raise a toast: to the men!

Author's reply

My DH was so thrilled that he got a review so soon :-) He is very glad that you like them. We also both like your DH's epitaph for us obsessed LotR fans! I join your toast! Thank you dear Dreamflower!
