ellie · 22 June 2010 · Chapter 133: An Evening’s Discussion

I think they should have had books in the communal royal library for visitors to read when visiting. Tell Ingwe. Not that things are boring where they are right now what with starships showing up and what not. Glorfy has a temper on him lately, doesn't he? I know he is recentlt Reborn, but still...Is all of his current unsettled behavior caused by the influence of Earendil and what Earendil's presence means to Glorfy? I like Earendil in his humility and his admitting that he was a poor lord for never being there for his people. He has an easy grace about him and an inner strength. I hope we see more of him in coming chapters. I don't recall you having written any stories about just him...

Author's reply

Hi Ellie. I suppose Ingwë just didn't see the point of letting good books languish in a library rarely visited by anyone. *grin* Glorfy is under a lot of stress and the recent events and feeling being put-upon by the Valar haven't helped any. He's like an adolescent -- adult one moment, child the next and who knows what will tip him off. I'm glad you like Eärendil. He does have an easy grace about him, doesn't he? And an inner strength that was hard won. We'll be seeing more of him, no fear. The only story that I've written in which he features is from my Tapestry series: STAR: Albedo 0.65. He is much younger and less assured in that story, having only recently come to Valinor and still adjusting to his fate. Thanks for taking the time to review, Ellie. I appreciate it, especially as I know you're pretty swamped with RL stuff right now.

Kitty · 21 June 2010 · Chapter 130: A Change of Plans

Really interesting how different Falmaron and Glorfindel have experienced their death, the time in Mandos and the Rebirth. Proves once again that you can't treat every Reborn the same way because every case is unique. On the one hand I am sad that Glorfindel is leaving again already, but on the other hand I look forward to see how the Council is going to be influenced by his presence. Mánatamir's news were a bit unexpected. So not only Glorfindel is needed, but Falmaron, Eärendil and Elwing as well? That's more than a but sudden, don't you think? No wonder Falmaron feels manipulated. He should get along with Glorfindel well ;) And they get to go on Vingilot no less. I can just see the faces when they turn up ... :D So now they are back, and the fun can begin.

Author's reply

Each Reborn is a unique individual, so it stand to reason their experiences, while similar, can never be the same, each person experiencing death and its aftermath in their own unqiue manner. Glorfindel will most likely return to Aewellond once the Council is done and over with. The reason for the inclusion of Eärendil and Elwing will become apparent soon enough and Falmaron of course will be able to reconcile with his family that much sooner as well. And we will indeed see what sort of fun Glorfindel will get himself into now. *grin* Thanks for reviewing, Kitty. I appreciate it.

Kitty · 21 June 2010 · Chapter 129: Lessons on Innocence

Why am I not surprised at Glorfindel's reaction? He's been manipulated a bit to frequently to take that sort of interference well, even when for once others are on the receiving end. When he broke down, I felt really sorry for him. The Valar may have meant well, but from his POV it looks different, and they have apparently lost a lot of trust with it. Oh well, maybe it cheers Glorfindel a bit up to know how much Turgon and his family thought of him. Glad Falmaron is now ready to return to his family. They will be happy – and thankful that Glorfindel convinced him, I believe. Now they just have to get back without any more incidents ...

Author's reply

I don't think anyone, except the people of Aewellond, should be surprised at Glorfindel's reaction. It will probably take some time for the Valar to regain his trust, that is certain. Still, they have centuries to work on it before they ship him off to Middle-earth. *grin* Now they just have to get back without any more incidents... From your lips to the Valar's ears, Kitty. *LOL*

Kitty · 21 June 2010 · Chapter 128: Meanwhile... Back in Aewellond

Well, I should probably not be surprised that Glorfindel is a little bored. First, he's not the type to just sit around and twiddle his thumbs, and second, since he has been released from Mandos, there has been happening to much around him that he's probably used to the constant action by now. Falmaron's appearance was quite a surprise, but an interesting one. Finally we know a bit more about what happened during the Darkening and what was the problem at least in Olwë's family. Well, I guess from the POV of the survivors it's really strange that the victims don't hate their murderers any longer; that can lead to a lot of misunderstandings and arguments. Of course, the Valar had to have a hand in Falmaron turning around and sailing to Aewellond ...

Author's reply

Glorfindel is definitely an A-type personality. *grin* We will explore a bit more the Telerin reaction to their Reborn later and of course the survivors must have suffered such deep-seated shock that man probably never fully recovered from it. Some of the possible effects of the Kinslaying on the Teleri will be explored in my Darkening story. And naturally the Valar had a hand in Falmaron turning his ship about and returning to Aewellond! *grin*

Sunny · 21 June 2010 · Chapter 133: An Evening’s Discussion

Eärendil as Manwë’spy?? Now, that was a surprise! Is Glorfindel sort of working up to another flashback or something like that? He seems really erratic here in this chapter. I hope he is able to get past it, or that the others there are able to figure out what his trouble is. Of course, if he just need to engage in some relaxing activities, I suppose someone will ask some warrior Maiar to come and pound him flat. That should soothe him wonderfully! ;-)

Author's reply

Well, Eärendil acting as Manwë's 'eyes' is a logical extension of his duties as Vingilot's captain. And it makes sense. I'm not sure if Glorfindel is working up to another flashbackk,Sunny. I think he's just feeling unsettled, unsure of where he fits in any more. Sador probably just accidently hit a raw nerve with his comment about Glorfindel's hair. Maybe some snotty Noldor said something to him once, making some disparaging remarks about his golden locks. Who knows? Your suggestion to call in some Maiar to give him a soothing and relaxing workout probably isn't a bad idea. *LOL* I'm sure Eönwë and Manveru and Erunáro and Mánatamir and a host of others would be most willing to oblige. *grin* Thanks for reviewing, Sunny. I appreciate it.

6336 · 21 June 2010 · Chapter 133: An Evening’s Discussion

Hm, well that has raised a few issues and solved a few issues, but not the main one, who will lead Tol Eressea. I get a little bit of a hint from Ingweion that he would be willing but does not want to put himself forward. Poor Sador, no matter how old Glorfindel acts he has still only been Re-born for a few years, something that people seem to forget, plus he has been through as much in his short new life as most Elves go through in the whole of theirs. No, I don't think the Valar will take a direct interest in the affairs of those in Endore, they learned the hard way how not to do it, dosen't mean they won't be keeping an eye on things and not just from Vingilot either! Interesting chapter, Huggs, Lynda

Author's reply

No, the main issue still needs to be resolved, but certain things need to be cleared up first before they can move forward on this, as you will see beginnning with the next chapter. We do tend to forget that Glorfindel is still a new Reborn. Sador, having died at such a young age is probably closer to the same maturity level that he enjoyed with he died than Glorfindel is experiencing now and is in some ways more mature than Glorfindel. That cannot be easy for either of them, for I suspect that both Glorfindel and Sador think of Sador as the 'younger' brother. We know that the Valar will not take direct action in the affairs of Endórë, but we do know of instances in "The Hobbit" and in LOTR where they take indirect action. I'm glad you found this an interesting chapter, Lynda. Thanks for reviewing and letting me know.

Larner · 21 June 2010 · Chapter 133: An Evening’s Discussion

Ah, dear--Glorfindel still has a bit of growing up to do, obviously. And the discussion was productive in its own way.

Author's reply

Yes, he does, Larner. After all, he's only been 'out' for about a year now. He's got quite a few years to go before he stops acting the elfling. We will see just how productive the discussion becomes over the next few chapters.

Kitty · 20 June 2010 · Chapter 127: Vondo in Valmar

The Lóriennildi complaining about it being too quiet left me snickering. I guess they have become accustomed to too much excitement since Finrod and later the other protagonists were released ;) What is it with Reborn (and others in Lórien) and running away and stealing horses? *shakes head* Was somehow glad Vondo made it to Valmar, but it didn't last long. What was that idiot Selmacs thinking?? Oathbreaker – please, what was his own daughter? She was the one to talk Aldundil into marrying, and that's another calibre than just dying, as it was deliberate. And to attack poor Vondo was just inexcusable. Of course, doing that in full view of everyone wasn't a wise move ... I really liked it that it was Námo who took care of that ellon; much more impressive. Glad they were able to more or less heal Vondo – being paralysed must be a nightmare for an immortal. And the end hints that our favourite balrog-slayer will be back soon. Good. While I am glad he's finally with Elwing and Eärendil, it's still more fun when he's with the others and helping to get them into trouble.

Author's reply

I have no idea what it is about Reborn and running away and stealing horses. Maybe it's genetic. *LOL* Anyway, Selmacas was obviously not working with a full deck when he attacked Vondo. I think the shock of seeing him again when he still assumed he was still dead was too much for him to take in at once and he simply exploded. We'll see what happens to him in a later chapter. And yes, our favorite balrog-slayer will soon be joining everyone else in Valmar and causing his own brand of trouble. *grin*

Kitty · 20 June 2010 · Chapter 126: The Council Continues

So Morcocáno, of all people, made the best suggestion. Who would have thought! Admittedly, what he said makes sense; I could see such a two-tier covernment working better than a single central one. Though that idea doesn't answer the most tricky question – who is supposed to lead the Assembly.

Author's reply

Morcocáno may be arrogant and a real pain but he's not entirely stupid or he wouldn't have held the position that he does for so long. Obviously, deciding on the form of government is the easy part; deciding how it will be led is something else altogether.

Hel · 19 June 2010 · Chapter 132: A Peaceful Interlude

It looks like Vondo is developing much faster than "normal" reborn. I wonder if it is the early contact with his relatives or the whole situation around him. Finrod´s decision not to tell Vondo the whole truth about him and Selmacas and his daughter is wise. Thankfully he is easily diverted. At least at the moment. I wonder how that lasts. And how long this much needes peaceful interlude last.

Author's reply

Every Reborn develops differently and no two Reborn develop in quite the same way, which is why Námo and Irmo are often ready to tear their hair out in frustration. *grin* Possibly the earlier-than-planned interaction between Vondo and his family is a contributing factor. As to how long this much needed peaceful interlude lasts remains to be seen, but you know that it can't last for very long. *grin* Thanks for reviewing Hel. I appreciate it.

Larner · 19 June 2010 · Chapter 132: A Peaceful Interlude

At least he is easily distracted, and perhaps even purposely. I find I like him.

Author's reply

Yes, easily distracted, but I doubt for long. *grin* I'm glad you like Vondo. Thanks, Larner, for letting me know. I rather like him, too.

Tari · 18 June 2010 · Chapter 131: Lord Eärendil Weighs In

As I was reading this, I couldn't help but think that Eärendil would make a perfect Cáno. However, whether or not that happens remains to be seen. Glad to see family and friend reunions taking place. Some were overdue.

Author's reply

I know a lot of readers think Eärendil would make a perfect Cáno, but I doubt he will accept the position. We'll just have to wait and see. And yes, some of these reunions were way overdue.

Monalex · 18 June 2010 · Chapter 132: A Peaceful Interlude

Great chapter, at last Glorfindel is in the middle of the excitement. Great distracting strategy to avoid approaching sensible subjects, SPEAK SINDARIN!!! In all fairness Vondo was the one who like children of 6 years, gets distracted easily and jumps from subject to subject. I don't see how they are going to keel Vondo from discovering the truth and more so since he is going to be in the company of other elves who know Salmacas and might tell him the truth. I actually don't think he will feel betrayed by his brother or if he does he will only feel betrayed for a small time, because I think Albundil has suffered enough and received enough punishment by having to deal with Calalindalë. I actually think at the end Vondo will find someone else worthy enough of him and be happy, whereas SHE will forever suffer, HAHAHAHAHA. What I am waiting for is the punishment of that horrible elf Salmacas, I hope NAMO comes up with something good.

Author's reply

Hello Monalex. I'm glad you liked this chapter. Vondo is indeed, on an emotional level, like a young child who is easily distracted (or in his case, perhaps it is fairer to say, willing to be distracted). They certainly won't be able to keep him in the dark for long. As for Selmacas... we'll see fairly shortly what, if anything, happens to him. Thanks for reviewing. I really appreciate it.

Sunny · 18 June 2010 · Chapter 132: A Peaceful Interlude

I loved the comparison of Glorfindel to a golden retriever! It was just so apt!! :-D I wonder – did not any of Laurendil’s companions at least _try_ to grab him and tell him that this is Aman, and they are _not_ out hunting Orcs? Though if they had been pushed hard enough by Laurendil, I suppose they were too busy discovering pains and aches in parts of their anatomies they didn’t even know existed to spare much time to try to reason with him. (I assume Elves, too, get sore after overexertion.) Though I suspect they will make up for lost opportunities when they are rested. ;-) Evidently Valmar has gained a new, though temporary tourist attraction. ;-) Vondo is certainly full of surprises! I suppose Finrod and Glorfindel counted on him not knowing Sindarin, and here he comes and actually understands what they say!! (Though I wonder what his reaction is going to be when he hears the full story of what happened when he was dead...)

Author's reply

I guess a lot of people like that comparison, Sunny. It's very apt, indeed, though I suspect Glorfindel would not think so. *grin* I doubt if any of Laurendil's companions tried to grab him and tell him to slow down. They would have all been Amanian elves without a clue about how one of Finrod's former Rangers would act. He probably even left them in the dust a bit in his hurry to catch up to Vondo. Vondo knowing Sindarin was indeed a surprise for Finrod and Glorfindel and Laurendil. He might not have been in Beleriand for the entire time of the war but he apparently was there long enough to learn the language. It took someone to actually speak it in his presence for him to remember. As to Vondo's reaction to the truth about his family... that remains to be seen, but we'll learn about it soon enough.

6336 · 18 June 2010 · Chapter 132: A Peaceful Interlude

Whew! That's one disaster averted! I don't know how Vondo is going to handle finding out his intended has married his brother, on one hand he may be very angry, on the other he may be happy that his brother did marry her. I don't think he is going to be very pleased when he finds out what she has turned into and what she did to his nephew though! I think Irmo needs to have all of his healers spend some time with the Re-born, even if they don't intend to specialise in them, a bit like a modern intern, just so they know what to expect(anything!)from them! Poor Laurendil, he was doing what he usually did ( just had to rescue a bird, if it's not lizards, it's birds, no gophers so far!)with what was to him, a new recruit, he did not take into account that he was a Re-born and temper his expectations with that in mind. I hope Vondo and Vorondil had fun with the Sindarin lesson and that Vondo managed to hold his own. Lynda

Author's reply

Averted, but not for long, I'm afraid, Lynda. Eventually Vondo's going to have to be told the truth. As to how he will react to it, remains to be seen. Laurendil is still a new apprentice so he's not had the experience of someone like Eärnur in dealing with them yet. He'll get the experience eventually, proably after his 3-year probabtionary period. I'm sure Vondo and Vorondil had loads of fun with the Sindarin game and I'm sure Vondo did quite well, once it all started coming back.

Kaylee Arafinwiel · 18 June 2010 · Chapter 132: A Peaceful Interlude

Hi Atar Fiondil! It's Friday! And that means more EI2, right? Right :D I have to say, this chapter was a welcome respite from the excitement for everyone, I'm sure LOL! Except perhaps Laurendil, as he got told off. I think Vondo and Glorfi will be quite the pair, and then Eru help the Valar!!! *lol* Unless Earendil stays around to put them both on short leashes. Golden Retriever Glorfi...*saw that in reviews for last chapter* Hmm, I wonder what golden retriever would be in Sindarin? Glor-something anyway, even if not Glorfi :-p Maybe it should be his epesse. *wicked grin* Tye-melin, Kaylee!! PS: Externship evaluation today and, if I have counted my hours right, Monday is my final day!

Author's reply

I'm not sure if Glorfindel would appreciate 'Golden Retriever' as an epessë, Kaylee, though it does rather fit. *grin* Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter and found it a welcme respite from all the excitement of the last few chapters. I think everyone, including me, needed the break. *LOL* Good luck on your externship evaluation. I'm sure you will do just fine.

Erulisse (one L) · 17 June 2010 · Chapter 131: Lord Eärendil Weighs In

I was away for a quick Holiday and came back to this lovely voyage of Vingilot and the arrival of Earendil and his delegation. I almost could see a collar on Glorfindel when told to "sit" and "stay" - in essence, a very well trained Golden Retriever - LOL. But Glorfindel is, of course, much more than that, and his loyalty to the House of Turgon is legendary. It is unquestionable that he will obey Earendil as an extension of his loyalties, so as to not be foresworn. And that leaves us with the question of Cano. No, it won't be Earendil - too quick and easy for your plot bunnies. For you, this entity will come from left field. There are candidates who have been presented, but currently my mind is swinging around Vondo - I have no clear idea why, but that's where my thoughts lead me. The Valar are very pushy. The ability to know some of what the future holds as well as the pattern of Ea in general gives them an inside line, but they are a bit too smug when they utilize their knowledge. Someone needs to take them down a peg or two, but still keep the basic respect that entities of that power should receive. In any case, two chapters from you was a lovely way to return to my more mundane life and, as always, it is and will always continue to be a pleasure to read anything you are kind enough to share with us. - Erulisse (one L)

Author's reply

Hi Erulissë, A Golden Retriever! *LOL* Poor Glorfi. But you are correct about his legendary loyalty to the House of Turgon and as Eärendil is, for all intents and purposes, Turgon's heir, then it stands to reason he would be more obedient to him than to anyone else. He probably 'heard' Turgon in Eárendil's voice, remembering the times when the King of Gondolin had issued similar commands to him. Vondo as Cáno. Now that's an interesting idea. Even I haven't thought of him as a possible candidate. I think, however, his being newly Reborn and about as responsible as a twelve-year-old human child at this point would not work to his favor. We'll just have to wait and see what develops. And when all is revealed, readers will understand why Eärendil and Elwing needed to be present at the Council. Certainly the Valar are feeling a bit smug, but whether anyone is brave enough (other than Atar) or stupid enough to attempt to bring them down a peg or two remains to be seen. *grin* Thanks for reviewing and letting me know how much you enjoyed these last couple of chapters. I really appreciate it.

Larner · 17 June 2010 · Chapter 131: Lord Eärendil Weighs In

It would appear that Glorfindel will be well disposed when the time comes to serve Earendil's son! Heh!

Author's reply

Indeed, Larner. In fact, one might even say that he's already in training for that day. *grin*

Kaylee Arafinwiel · 16 June 2010 · Chapter 131: Lord Eärendil Weighs In

Hi Atar Fiondil!! There's been a lot going on since I last reviewed (though I have been reading everything!!) I love the entrance of Glorfindel and presence of the Aewellond delegation...and now, if I might make a suggestion for Cano it looks as though no one's suggested yet... How about Elwing? I mean, yes, she's female, but I do hope that wouldn't be too much of a barrier; after all, they do have females leading guilds and villages and such already. Elwing is the only remaining direct heir of Elu Thingol in Aman, he who styled himself "Lord of Beleriand", and as many of the residents of Tol Eressea are Sindar and Silvan, they might consider her his logical and rightful heir (rather than her husband, Turgon's heir) It would give Elwing something to do besides turning into a bird every day to wait for Earendil, at least! *lol* I'm sure she's already a capable leader in Aewellond, and it would be good if she could extend that capability to the rest of her Sindar kin and her parents' people. I can't wait to find out what happens on Friday!! Tye-melin, Atar Fiondil! Kaylee P.S. I'm nearly ready to graduate from my externship! ^.^ school is nearly over!!!

Author's reply

Elwing would certainly be a different choice, Kaylee. Not sure if *she* would want the job if offered it, though. Still, she did hold the leadership of the Havens of Sirion while Eärendil was sailing the ocean blue, so it's not as if she's not had the experience, and as you point out, many of the Tol Eressëans probably remember when she led them. The next couple of chapters won't have a lot of action to them but they are important nonetheless in carrying forward the plot. I hope you enjoy them. Thanks for reviewing Kaylee, and congratulations on your graduation. I'm sure you are looking forward to not being in school any longer. Good job!

ninqwestilmen · 15 June 2010 · Chapter 131: Lord Eärendil Weighs In

I'm going to offer a different view from my fellow reviewers. I don't think I particularly like the idea of Earendil becoming Cano... Reason being, that his destiny is with Arda as a whole, vingilot and the silmaril, guarding the doors of night, and now dagor dagorath preparations. It just doesn't seem likely that he would allow himself to be put as the head of a Tol Erresean assembly talking law and trade. I'm still thinking that whoever the council chooses will be a surprise to all. Oh and much as I liked Falmaron's meeting with his father, it was not on the lines that I expected - I was thinking that they would get all teary eyed and mushy with apologies and the like :D Well, I'm glad that they didn't, it would have resolved their tensions much too fast :D

Author's reply

Hi ninqwestilmen. Your reasoning is fairly sound and while Eärendil does look like a popular choice, I doubt he will allow himself to be roped into the position. And anyone who is familiar with my writing knows, I don't always go for the obvious. We'll have to wait and see what develops. Sometimes when families attempt to reconcile they end up having to clear the air about a lot of things, hence Olwë and Falmaron shouting at one another. Eventually they'll get it all out of their system and actually communicate with one another but it won't happen overnight. Thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate you taking the time to share them with us.

Tari · 15 June 2010 · Chapter 130: A Change of Plans

Wow! Glorfindel gets to ride in Vingolot. No one else has ever had such an honor until now and it seems that he will not be going alone. I can just imagine the shock on everyone’s face as they see a ship hovering above the water, and then to see who all disembarked only added to the shocked looks. I’ll bet the Valar were enjoying this sight although I think there might be something more serious on their minds.

Author's reply

I'm sure the Valar were enjoying the sight, too, Tari, though naturally they do have something more serious on their minds as you will see in the next chapter.

Siiw · 14 June 2010 · Chapter 131: Lord Eärendil Weighs In

So, the Valar has provided the perfect head of the Assembly: Earendil! He fits the criteria and is even heir of a king most of them would recognise. Glorfindel certainly recognises him as a leader! It makes me wonder if Glorfindel was summoned simply to demonstrate that, too.

Author's reply

Hi Siiw. You may be right on both accounts. We'll just have to wait and see what develops. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it.

ellie · 14 June 2010 · Chapter 131: Lord Eärendil Weighs In

Love your Earendil! He really does hold sway over Glorfy! I'm glad to see taht someone does. That was too funny when Earendil gave the "sit!" "stay!" command and Glrofy obeyed much to Finrod shocked dismay. This whole meeting really is turning into a fiasco, isn't it? I'm surprised Ingwe didn't lose it earlier with Olwe and Finarfin both getting involved though at least Finarfin was trying to calm folks down. So why don't arguing folks listen to finarfin when he tries to calm them down? They did this to him when Feanor gave his infamous speech, too. The Valar are becoming quite manipulative, aren't they? I wonder if this will backfire on them soon... Glorfy really does have a temper doesn't he?

Author's reply

Hi Ellie. I'm glad you love Eärendil. He's pretty cool here, isn't he? And he appears to be able to keep Glorfindel in line as well. *grin* And poor Arafinwë gets no respect, but at least Ingwë is able to remind everyone just who is High King of all the Elves and why. That has to count for something. I'm not sure if the Valar are truly being manipulative or if they are just very good at taking advantage of every situation as it arises. They have the advantage of being able to know more about the Themes which brought Eä into existence than the elves and so they can use that knowledge to their advantage. And Glorfy is still 'young' emotionally. Remember, he's only been released from Lórien for a little more than a year now. He's still got some way to go before he 'grows up', and for some people, that day can't come soon enough. *grin* Thanks for reviewing, Ellie. I appreciate it.

Fantasia · 14 June 2010 · Chapter 131: Lord Eärendil Weighs In

Well, I think that is time for someone tell the Valars that they should stop their manipulations. Why they just don't ask, they treat Glorfindel as a child, thay should know better.

Author's reply

I'm sure the elves are about ready to give the Valar a piece of their mind, Fantasia. And Glorfindel isn't the only one who has a beef against them as we will see soon enough.

Sunny · 14 June 2010 · Chapter 131: Lord Eärendil Weighs In

Sensible of Arafinwë to not want to see Selmacas right now. Due to Aldundil’s Life Oath and Finrod’s relationship with Vorondil junior, he probably views the entire family as part of his own. And Vondo is currently very like an elfling, so Arafinwë’s reaction is what it would have been if it had been one of his own children who had been attacked. It was truly interesting to see how Glorfindel was all set to go on a rampage, and Eärendil stopped him in his tracks. With Glorfy in such a mood, he was probably the only one there who could manage it, too. Well, maybe Manwë or Námo. So is Eärendil going to get a new job in the near future? (Yes, I am betting on him getting the job as Cáno!)

Author's reply

Hi Sunny. Yes, I think Arafinwë is the sort to 'adopt' Aldundil and his son, and now Vondo doing the innocent Reborn-elfling act would really bring out the paternal side of his personality. *grin* It's fun to see someone able to handle Glorfindel besides Manwë or Námo,isn't it? As for Eärendil getting a new job.... who knows at this point? We'll just have to wait and see how this all turns out.
