This was lovely. I enjoyed the way that Frodo tried his best to keep Merry from thinking sad things and the last part with Frodo letting Merry sleep with him was very sweet.

I liked the references to the story of the flying boy. : ) Oh, I'm sure their conversations are interesting - I have cousins who take everything I say too seriously *quite* like that. You got very well into Frodo's head. He acted as the older, but I could see how hard it was for him to break the news to Merry, as he disguised it in his game. The picture of Merry running off was vivid and heartbreaking. But I am glad all was all right between them in the end. -Kitt

It will be difficult for both of them with Frodo gone, but Frodo will be so much better off.... Glad Merry came in to sleep with him.
