Queen Galadriel · 29 January 2009 · Chapter 1: Yule on the Quest

Awwww!!! *hugs* Hannon le, mellon nin! It's so sweet! Wow, I really feel like a schmuck for being the last one to read it. It's sooo nice! There are so many smiles and laughs here that I can't name them all...Pippin chattering perpetually with excitement...loved Glorfindel's involvement all the way around, and Sam's part in the conspiracy, and my, quite a lot of people are going "humph." LOL! And of course the snowball fight was perfect, and the argument over who goes first and why, and the end is just perfect! Belatedly, thank you thank you thank you! *more hugs*

Hantanyel, ammelda! So glad you enjoyed! I was inspired by Larner to add the snowball fight. *hugs back* Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Antane :)

Hello Aunty, how delightfully sweet and fluffy this is! A Hobbit Yule! Utterly charming. Trust a Took to be so deviously thoughtful. And how lovely that the rest of the Fellowship partook of this Shire custom. Lovely work, M ;)

Author's reply

Thank you my dear! I like to do fluff around this time. Glad you stopped by to enjoy! *hugs* Namarie, God bless, Your Tookish cousin :)

A so-necessary moment of peace for all of them! Very appropriate for our Lady.

Author's reply

Hantanyel, my dear Larner! Yes, a bit of fun before it gets too awful for them. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

I loved this little Yule conspiracy. Just two small comments. It was unclear what role Elrond played in this little masque. And the star would more likely be Earendil as opposed to Elbereth. But a lovely bit of fun and happiness at this Yule season. Thanks.

Author's reply

Thank you! Elrond provided the cordial that Gandalf passed around. I was thinking that since Elbereth kindled the stars that would be her gift to him, but it could be Earendil - works either way. :) Glad you enjoyed! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Very nice - I especially liked the 'light' ceremony.

Author's reply

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed. I loved the light ceremony myself - this is the third story I've used it in! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Joy bubbled up in Frodo as he traveled on. This was just like home! It was that real, even though many of the faces were different. The love he saw in those eyes and those smiles was the same. What a joyous, loving Yule and New Year story. Thank you, Antane, and happy new year to you.

Author's reply

Thank you, my dear! Glad you enjoyed! The queen requested a "Yule while on the Quest" story and this just came out - I share Pippin's wish to give our Frodo something joyful. :) Happy Yule! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Dreamflower · 31 December 2008 · Chapter 1: Yule on the Quest

Aww... this is so sweet! "Why do I think you two had started another conspiracy?" He glanced at Sam who busied himself with getting the bed ready he shared with his master and pretended not to hear anything Frodo had said. "Not another," Merry said cheerfully, "just the same one." Frodo's cousins and friend never end their conspiracy to do everything they can for him.

Author's reply

Thank you, Dreamflower! So glad you stopped by and enjoyed! No, that never ended, they're still doing it even now I'm sure. *hugs them* Happy Yule! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
