Andrea · 20 March 2009 · Chapter 8: Something to hold onto

My mum always said to my sisters that a hobbit likes a lass he can hold onto. LOL! That was great! Beauty is indeed relative. And a proper hobbit lass should be well-rounded. My dictionary showed me lots of funny words for the German expression "drall". Must have been written by hobbits ;-)

Socrates399 · 20 March 2009 · Chapter 2: The Monster

Haha! I'm afraid of spiders, so I can sympathize!

Celeritas · 19 March 2009 · Chapter 8: Something to hold onto

This was priceless! I love the idea of Arwen not quite conforming to Pippin's idea of a suitably plump hobbit lass (the idea that among hobbits girth and ample curves are good things has long attracted me) and his thus wanting to fatten her up!

Celeritas · 19 March 2009 · Chapter 7: Just a summer day...

Tee hee! This was cute!

Celeritas · 19 March 2009 · Chapter 6: The last one left

*wibble* I hope Pip's not too long in following; that last bit was quite bittersweet!

Antane · 18 March 2009 · Chapter 7: Just a summer day...

What a sweet, generous little lad he was! *hugs him* Love also that he didn't seem to think it was much out of the ordinary for a tree to talk to him! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Antane · 18 March 2009 · Chapter 6: The last one left

Poor Pippin - to be the last one left, but what sweet gifts to remember his beloved brother-cousins and friend by. I love that Sam would have made Pippin a rattle. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Antane · 18 March 2009 · Chapter 2: The Monster

Poor Merry! *hugs him* Good he didn't meet up with Shelob! *shivers* Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Andrea · 18 March 2009 · Chapter 7: Just a summer day...

This is so typical of Pippin! For a split second he's irritated, but then he starts chattering away happily and helps as best he can. Others would have ran away! I would not have been surprised, though, if a certain cousin had been hiding behind the branches, pretending to be a tree ;-) You know which cousin I mean. That would have been typical of HIM.

Andrea · 18 March 2009 · Chapter 6: The last one left

He listend to the sound, smiling while tears flowed freely down his cheeks. Awww! Like Pippin this little story makes me happy and sad at the same time! It's terrible to be the last one left, but on the other hand Pippin has lots of happy memories to remember. And I'm quite sure that the day will come when he meets all three of them again - and many more. Just now an image out of the movies comes to my mind, of Gandalf telling Pippin about the Green Country, just before the great battle. I liked that scene very much!

Larner · 6 March 2009 · Chapter 5: Cherry Pie

A bit embarrassing for others to know, perhaps, but so sweet! Something to be regretted indeed--the cherry lips not kissed. Thanks!

Author's reply

Thanks Larner! Well maybe Pip one day will still have a chance to get a taste of these cherry lips. ;)

Celeritas · 6 March 2009 · Chapter 5: Cherry Pie

I've often wondered if the hobbits had regrets of this sort after leaving the Shire--though now that Pippin's spoken up he'll never live this down!

Author's reply

*L* Nope. Not till his cousins have all answeres they want!

Celeritas · 6 March 2009 · Chapter 4: Role Model against her will

Lol! The problem with explaining things to small children is that you never know how exactly they'll understand it!

Author's reply

Thats very very true! Thanks for reading Cel.

Celeritas · 6 March 2009 · Chapter 3: Joy

Oh, this was lovely! And now of course, I must ask the inevitable question: is Maxi still alive when Pippin comes back? And if so, how does she recognize Pippin underneath all those new scents of adventure and danger? *chucks a flying ball of fuzzy plotbunny, ducks, and runs off cackling madly*

Author's reply

I cannot tell you, if Maxi is still alive then... that depends if my Maxi is still alive when I come back in the summer. But I very much hope so!

Celeritas · 6 March 2009 · Chapter 2: The Monster

Hee hee hee! Good thing Merry never made it to Shelob's lair!

Author's reply

He would not have been a big help, would he? ;)

Celeritas · 6 March 2009 · Chapter 1: Lads

Yes, this sounds very "Pippin": doing something just for fun and not really thinking about the consequences!

Author's reply

Yes, but good that someone was there to show him and Sancho what the consequences might have been. Thanks for reading!

Larner · 4 March 2009 · Chapter 4: Role Model against her will

There is an old saying here--"Monkey see, monkey do." It does appear that our Pippin in this case is indeed the monkey! Heh! So perfect a mimic of his sister!

Author's reply

Thanks Larner! Couldn´t you have told Vinca of that saying beforehand? ;)

Andrea · 4 March 2009 · Chapter 2: The Monster

Pippin rolled his eyes, bent down and let the spider crawl on his hand. Well, I wouldn't call a tiny spider a MONSTER, but I could never bring myself to touch it! In that respect I admire Pippin for his courage. Unfortunately not all spiders in Middle-Earth were that small and harmless!

Author's reply

*g* To be honest, even I am not afraid of spiders and find them interessting, I would also not let them crawl on my hand. I always catch them in a glass and bring them outside.

Andrea · 4 March 2009 · Chapter 4: Role Model against her will

LOL!!! That was cute! I wouldn't blame Pippin, though. He's far too young to understand what's going on ;-)

Author's reply

Is he? *G* Maybe..or maybe he starts excersizing ( uhm...üben?) "pranking" his sisters early. ;)

Ainu-Yavanna · 4 March 2009 · Chapter 4: Role Model against her will

So cute, so like children. I wonder how she WILL explain.

Author's reply

I don´t know. *g* I leave that to your imagination. Thanks for reading! :)

Dreamflower · 4 March 2009 · Chapter 3: Joy

These all came out very nicely, dear! I do think my very favorite, though, is this third one! I can just see Pippin and his dog, and Pippin worrying about leaving her--very realistic!

Author's reply

I like this one the best too. The first two were..just stories...this one is with my very own emotions, thats probbaly why it seems realistic. :)

Larner · 3 March 2009 · Chapter 3: Joy

Back to school, away from your beloved canine shadow. I understand.

Author's reply

Yeah... :( I would give her some of my life time, if I could, if she is just here for some more time! Thanks for reading!

Larner · 3 March 2009 · Chapter 2: The Monster

Anachrophobia is alive and well in poor Merry, at least. Heh! But they have no idea as to the true great spider Frodo and Sam will one day face, of course.

Author's reply

If Frodo would know, he would not laugh at Merry! But yes, poor Merry...well even the bravest Hobbit is allowed a fear or two. ;)

Larner · 3 March 2009 · Chapter 1: Lads

Well, they tried! Am rather glad they got caught before they did some major damage!

Author's reply

Thanks for reading Larner! And..you shocked me! *points at comment on Yahoo* ;)

shirebound · 3 March 2009 · Chapter 3: Joy

her tail wagging, her eyes sparkling with joy How lovely. *hugs you and Maxi*

Author's reply

Thanks! *hugs back* And Maxi gives you one of her wet dog kisses. ;)
