Lovely story. I truly enjoyed it.
Author's reply
thank you so much. This story is also one of my favourite. I´m so glad you enjoyed it. Elrond is my favourite elf and there are much too less stories about him. Thanks for a most appreciated review. Lai

· Chapter 13: epilogue
Very nice story! And very thrilling, at one stage I really thought that you were going to kill him. Which would have been a good story as well but I prefer happy endings :). Hoping to read more from you soon! Cheers!
Author's reply
thank you so much for the kind review. Truth be told I had played with the thought to kill Elrond but I like happy endings too. The next story is nearly done and hopefully to your liking too. Hope to see you there. Thank you Lai.

I have not been able to review before , but you already know how I felt about this story. But just in case you forgot ... I love it ;)
I am so glad you finally were able to post it here. I can't wait for the next one.

· Chapter 11: He´s back
Good to see him awake again. I can't help wondering what was damaged in his head that kept him unconscious for so long, and what damage remains that hasn't shown itself yet. I do like the fact that you had everyone understand what remaining unconscious so long meant. Too many stories have characters lose consciousness and then reawaken at a convenient time with no ill effects and no one around them really worried!
Author's reply
yes finally he´s awake. Thank you for the praise. I would go mad with worry for some-one unconscious for so long. Hopefully no bad effects will linger. Thank you for the time to review and follow the story for so long. Only one chapter to go and an epilog. Lai.

· Chapter 10: Return To Normal?
Good to see Elrond awake again. How did they prevent him from dying of dehydration during the weeks that he was unconscious? I know elves are tougher than humans, but humans usually last about three days without water. I assume they must've been getting fluids into him somehow.
Author's reply
Yes, thank the Valar, Elrond is on his feet again. And don´t worry about his health, he´s after all not the only capable healer in the house. Centhar has surely found a way to feet his Lord some water every day. Thank you so much for reviewing. Hope you stay with me till the end. Only three chapters to go. Lai.

· Chapter 8: Regret
Thanks for letting us know. I don't think the elves overreacted. Baradon's behavior would offend anyone.
Author's reply
sorry for the coming delay, but I will make up for it. Yes, Baradon will have to struggle to make up for his behavior. Thanks for reviewing. Lai.

· Chapter 7: Why does Nana cry?
haha, nice to have glorfindel on his feet again, he always seems to light things up :) But poor elrond though, things are not looking good for him :/ and must say you scared me a little with the title of the chapter...
Your writing is beautiful and the story is enthralling, keep up the good work! cheers!
Author's reply
yes, with Glorfindel up and about all seems not so dark anymore, but Elrond....things does indeed not bode well. Thank you so much for your kind words, they keep me going.

· Chapter 7: Why does Nana cry?
You don't need to put the introductory stuff at the beginning of each chapter. It was only really necessary for the first one. I'm still reading and finding it interesting. I think Baradon is about to regret his words rather badly...
Author's reply
thanks for the advice but much more for the reply. Oh yes, Baradon will regret his words. I´m glad you are still reading. Lai

wow, brilliant story! i love the way you have swung from laughter and joy, to angst, to nail-biting and tragic.
i am looking forward to reading more!
Author's reply

Good--they have both Elrond and Arahel out--there is hope for both of them, then!
Author's reply
they are out - yes, but that´s it. The first relief will quickly abate. Thank you so much for reviewing. Lai

· Chapter 1: Roots and Mud Puddles
The language is a bit stilted for such young children, but the playing and curiosity are spot on! Very nice! And I find myself wondering how Arahel might have become so ill!
Author's reply
I´m glad you liked the garden scene. I wonder myself what happened to Arahel, but if Elrond is not able to find out....Thank you so much for the review. Lai

Valar! Great story, good plot! And you write very good; your describing of things is great, I love it, you could literally feel the heat from that fire! I really like Elrond/hurt stories, but you won't kill him will you? Please don't! Update soon!
Author's reply
thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate them. I struggled hard with the fire scene to make it real. I´m happy it worked. Elrond is one of my favourite characters too. The next chapter is on the way. Kill the Elf-Lord? We will see... Stay tuned. Thank you for the review. Lai.

· Chapter 2: Nightmare
Good start to the story! There's not so much fanfiction with Dunedain heirs other than Estel, so this is welcome, especially with Celebrian. The fire is very believable! I'm looking forward to more :D
Author's reply
thank you so much for the review. I liked it to explore the line of descendants at the time as the twins were young. I struggled hard with my imagination to create the fire-scene believable. The next chapter is on the way and the worst is yet to come. Hope you enjoy the coming chapters too. Lai

· Chapter 2: Nightmare
One has to wonder what caused the fire, and why it wasn't detected earlier. Maybe we'll find that out later. Are the buildings of Rivendell made of wood? For the fire to spread so fast and so thoroughly, I am assuming they must be.
Author's reply
the fire had been detected, otherwise not so many had made it out. If the cause of the fire will be detected - we will see, and yes the buildings are mostly made of wood. Thanks so much for the time to write and the much appreciated review. Lai.

· Chapter 1: Roots and Mud Puddles
Nice start. Your grammar and spelling in the story itself is well done. I certainly couldn't write a story in german that was worth reading. For future reference, it might have been good to have some foreshadowing of the disaster to come. As it is, I was a little confused by this chapter since it did not seem connected to the summary.
Author's reply
Aiwen, thank you so much for the review and most of all for the praise with my english. You do not know what it means to me. You are right in backsight with the foreshadowing, but I wanted a nice start for the things to come, but I will consider this the next time. Thanks again for the advice. I really appreciate it for I´m still very new to this. Hope to see you at the coming chapters. You will not be dissapointed. Thanks. Lai
