Quite delightful!
I only noticed one mishap. When Aragorn is telling the hobbits they should learn something better than rock throwing but that 'he, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir and Gandalf with take care of them' - this story gave all other impression up until then, of taking place before the meeting. Where /does/ this story take place within the timeline?
I read this straight through and loved every word. You still have he magic touch. Thank you for reminding me why I love LOTR fanfiction. This was a gem!

Great story!
I've just finished re-reading it from the beginning on.
The part I liked best was when Frodo finally managed to open the glass jar after it had been damaged just enough to do so.
I'm quite sure, though, that without Gandalf's diplomatic skills it would not have been so easy for Aragorn and Frodo to make up with each other.

Oh, it's over! Rats!
I'm afraid I'm more than a little angry with you about the fate of the beautiful green suit.
I have always loved your scenes where Frodo asserts his -- considerable -- authority over the younger hobbits. It's a side only rarely shown by other fic writers.
Hobbit piñatas! Yes: they would love piñatas! Forget toys: make all the filling edible....
That jar of pipeweed: I had forgotten all about it.
More Frodo, please!

Aha! Well done, Frodo! Well done, all of them, in fact. And now at last Frodo has the pipeweed, although glueing the lid to the top of the jar still seems a bit overdone.
It was well worth waiting for, I think. Reread the whole thing and giggles happily!

*grin* What a spectacular and hilarious ending to a fun story!
Trust Gandalf to get to the heart of the matter--and to get both parties to agree where each had been in the wrong. Hmmm...perhaps we should make a certain Istar the Speaker of the House? *fondly imagines things actually getting done*
But the most howlingly funny moment was when Pippin realized he was stuck to the chair! OMG, Budgie, that was brilliant and completely unexpected! LOLOL!
Thank you, dear, for such a fun story! I've missed seeing new stories from you--though I frequently re-read your others!
yes yes yes! so glad to see you're continuing this - glad you're back.
can't wait to see what Aragorn does - he's just a bit ticked, isn't he? Yay!

*whew* I'm relieved that Pippin did not get hurt. I was quite worried about that!
So, Aragorn's already figured out who the culprits are? Uh-oh!

LOL. Thank you for the charming story, Budgielover. Please tell Aragorn that my money is on the hobbits.

Oh, so now the Hobbits rank lower than orcs, do they? Poor Boromit--caught between the anger of Aragorn and the cuteness and conniving of Hobbits now! And the door to the balcony is now locked against the three younger Hobbits. Hmm! This is lovely!
And it's sp good to see this tale continuing, and to rejoice in your offerings once more!

Oh, but this is too much! That poor suit will not be wearable in the future, will it? And Aragorn is certainly caught by surprise! I just hope he doesn't try throwing that knife of his!

Pippin's recitation of what's been prepared for dinner must itself be an exquisite torture for Frodo. Poor Frodo--he does NOT deserve all this, not at all!
Now, to decide how they are going to attach Aragorn through all of this. I am anticipating what moves they decide on.
As for focusing solely on Aragorn--not fair, perhaps, but understandable.

Oh, I don't blame him in the least! Poor lad--they are not realizong that the broth is too little for him at the moment. And am looking forward to seeing how this particular war will go! Gluing the lid on that jar was also quite the nasty trick! Get them, Frodo Baggins!

Welcome back! So the poor green suit does not survive this little prank! Too bad. But too funny, I believe they have really rattled Aragorn! It will be very good to see what he and Boromir can come up with.

Oh,oh,OH! so, Aragorn did NOT beat them back to Frodo's room and bar the door. Frodo may have woken up, or, maybe someone else is looking to get in on the "fun"? This reminds me of Elendiari22's delightful story, "A Merry War". There also, the hobbits perceived an affront from Aragorn and vowed hilarious revenge. I can think of few things better than becoming co-conspirators in a full-out prank war to help break the mental ice between Boromir and Aragorn. The ones I really feel sorry for now might be Rivendell's laundry staff! I am so glad you are continueing.

*giggles* Oh, boy! And Aragorn thought he was getting to understand Hobbits so well. He’s underestimated these four! I love that Sam is on board. I’m sure Merry and Pippin are going to need a spy in their corner. ;)

Something so unutterably wicked that it will strike fear into the hearts of hobbit-abusers everywhere…”
“Let’s eat his supper!” Pippin suggested enthusiastically.
“I hardly think making him miss a meal is compensation for all the misery he caused us, Pippin.”
“We could eat his breakfast, too.”
LOL! Of course, Pippin would think that suitable punishment!
I’m surprised that Frodo would go through all that trouble to retrieve that book. Surely, there must be less torturous ways of falling asleep!
