Mum's the Word · 6 January 2010 · Chapter 1: Happy Birthday Professor
Lovely, wonderful, simple, and lyrical -- just what we'd expect from that great and famous poet, Samwise Gamgee. Thank you, Llinos, and thank you, Professor!
Mum's the Word · 6 January 2010 · Chapter 0: More an excuse than a Prologue
You never need an excuse to post, Sam -- er, Llinos! Yours are stories we always enjoy.

You gave us a gift more precious than gold, A wonderful dream that will never grow old. Too true! I love those last lines. This is a great poem. I really enjoyed it!
Pip4 · 5 January 2010 · Chapter 1: Happy Birthday Professor
That is so sweet. It totally works in Sam's voice. Nice little poem.

Cosy homes with big round doors, You made them ours, these tales of yours. I love it all but those are my very favourite lines. I've always loved the little round doors and he most certainly did make his tales, our tales. Just perfect! Cheers to you and the Professor!
Grey Wonderer · 3 January 2010 · Chapter 0: More an excuse than a Prologue
Sound reasoning. I think I've read it before but I'm going to read it again because I like it.
MarigoldG · 3 January 2010 · Chapter 1: Happy Birthday Professor
I love this poem so much; no matter how many times I read it I get a sort of tingle and a little teary because it's such a perfect tribute to Tolkien and a perfect thank-you for all of the pleasure he has given to so many of us. I think this poem truly conveys what is in the hearts of those of us that love his work so much and it's just stunning how 'Sam' has managed to capture that love in just the right words. Thanks for saying what so many of us feel but don't have the proper words to express ourselves!
Elena Tiriel · 3 January 2010 · Chapter 1: Happy Birthday Professor
This is really charming, Llinos! Oh and thanks for the ale and pipeweed too. Hobbits and their appreciation for simple pleasures.... LOL! Sam's rustic, self-effacing wisdom shines here. Nicely done! - Barbara

I went straight to the poem without reading the credits! My apologies. Sam did a wonderful job as well!
PIppinfan1988 · 3 January 2010 · Chapter 1: Happy Birthday Professor
I'm speechless...but only for a moment. ;-) It's beautiful...warm, tender, and is perfect for celebrating the Professor and his hobbits. Your poem says everything I wish I could say and more. Enjoyed each verse and every word. Thank you for sharing it. :-)
PIppinfan1988 · 3 January 2010 · Chapter 0: More an excuse than a Prologue
I don't get on LJ much anymore, so this will be a first read for me, then. :-) Onward I go...
