Ah, I love seeing Aragorn as the Priest-King, even if it is merely in vision. And this vision is a needful one for the sensitive man who knelt in that future before him.
Author's reply

Larner · 2 April 2010 · Chapter 3: Harvest Visions
A far too grim awakening for this warrior who would far rather be on the farm than on the battlefield. Well done!

Faramir, you really need to go home and party in Minas Tirith for a few days. Falling asleep on battlefields can be dangerous to your health! But it does make for a lovely drabble...
Author's reply
Many thanks for your much appreciated review. i agree faramir needs some rest, but I think the battle was over or nearly over when he had the vision. I'm pleased you liked this.
Raksha The Demon · 23 March 2010 · Chapter 3: Harvest Visions
I really love this drabble - the imagery is so vivid and strong; the description of a happy, productive harvest day; and then we are brought back to a far less pleasant day, that future far away. At least the reader, unlike Faramir, knows for certain that the golden future in his vision will come true.

Many thanks for your much appreciated review,so far my only one here! I'm delighted you enjoyed this drabble. It was one of those that just jumped into my head and those usually turn out better than those I labour and agonise over!
Raksha The Demon · 27 February 2010 · Chapter 2: Wheat or Chaff?
Ingenious use of the Thresh prompt and a thoughtful, eloquent look at Faramir.

Raksha The Demon · 27 February 2010 · Chapter 1: Swords into Ploughshares
A fine drabble - we can see how Faramir is a renaissance man of sorts, and Boromir's heart centers on soldiering. And I would have paid good money to see them both working out with scythes!

I like the idea that Faramir has a better appreciation for the needs of peacetime than does his brother. Lovely, Linda.
