I liked how you gave Legolas a special role in bringing back the peredhil to life. Joyful conclusion of a beautiful story. Great work. Thank you.

Author's reply

I´m so glad you like Legolas´ interaction. He´s a special elf after all, isn´t he? Thank YOU for reviewing. I really appreciate every comment. Lai

Fiondil · 27 January 2011 · Chapter 16: not all hope lost?

Didn't think they would make it back across the river, but Elrond has Vilya to help and that's a good thing. Let's hope that after they've rested they'll finally make it back, though to what remains to be seen, doesn't it? *grin*

Author's reply

right, at least they have managed the river. It´s really time to return. Only one chapter to go. Thank you so much for staying with me and for your reviews. Lai

Fiondil · 22 January 2011 · Chapter 15: follow the road and do not falter

Legolas sees himself as the weak link in their gestalt but I suspect he will be the key to getting Elrond and his sons back. One cliffhanger after another, Lai. You're worse than I am *LOL* Looking forward to how this works.

Author's reply

it´s not hard to figure out that your guess may be right. I´m glad you are still following my story and hope to see you at the next cliff´s edge. LOL. Thank you for reviewing. Lai

minuial · 3 January 2011 · Chapter 14: lead on and I will follow you

A desperate choice the twins make. Looking forward to see how they and Elrond return to living again. Happy New Year.

Author's reply

Hi Minuial, yes indeed, a bitter decision but will they have the power to return? A happy new year to you too. Thank you for reading and reviewing. Lai

Fiondil · 17 December 2010 · Chapter 13: Lost

And so the plot thickens and there is doubt as to what lies on the other side of the river. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's reply

if crossing the river was the right choice? We will see! The next chapter is on the way. Thank you so much for the review. Lai

Fiondil · 15 December 2010 · Chapter 12: troubled homecoming

Finally got a chance to start reading this. Great story so far. I'm right at the edge of my seat wondering what's going to happen next and wondering how the men were able to do what they did without anyone being the wiser and everyone getting injured or lost! Looking forward to the next chapter and the next chapter after that and... well, you get the picture. *grin*

Author's reply

Hello Fiondil, I´m so glad you found the time to read my story and even happier that you like it and that you are eager to get more. Sometime events are set in motion not even the wise can forsee and stop. I promise to keep you on the edge of your seat. Thank you so much for reviewing. Lai

demeter d · 11 December 2010 · Chapter 12: troubled homecoming

I am ashamed to admit I have been a "lurker" recently, not a reviewer. I have been following this story, tho. It is very different to see Elrond portrayed as being the one in need of aid, instead of always the all-confident healer of others. So, Grandma and Grandpa to help, perhaps? Again, it is fascinating to see a scene in which she is not all-knowing and all powerful! And she asks "the young prince" to help her? This does get interesting. Depending on whose commentary you read, Legolas is either suppossed to be no any older than the twins and Arwen, or up to half a thousand years or so younger. I am sure that at this point, "young" Legolas is indeed wondering how he could help the Aman born Queen of the Golden Wood. In my opinion, he was chosen for the Fellowship because he had the openness and acceptance of youth. He embraced new experiences and people. Perhaps this openness can help him to reach his friends in places even She can not? I will be watching to see what you do next!

Author's reply

Hello demeter d, I´m glad you have become a reviewer on my story and appreciate your thoughtful comments very much. Yes, I´m sure it is a bit disturbing to see Elrond in need but even he is as vulnerable as all others. This is the important lesson all family members forgett from time to time and have to lear here. And yes, I agree with you that Legolas was choosen because of his youth. He is often portrayed as the young, the unexperienced but I think he´s the one who can make the difference and this will be his role in my story. Anyway I´m glad you like what I write and hope to see you at my next chapters. Thank you so very much. Lai

Rabbit Transit · 3 December 2010 · Chapter 11: strange places

Requesting More ... More.. More...! I been a fan for a while now and have always liked a good read. Now I'm getting irritated because I want more of the story... No fault of your own, though. Keep it up and thank you for writing it.

Author's reply

I´m so happy you consider my story a good read. Don´t worry you will get more and more...I hope I can irritate you further. Thank YOU so much for reading and reviewing. Lai

minuial · 2 December 2010 · Chapter 11: strange places

Hi. Very interesting and intriguing chapter. Now you made me curious about that river and what lies on its shores. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's reply

Hi minuial, I´m glad it worked to make you curious for the next chapter. Elrond should have really thought twice bevor crossing the river, but wait and see. Thank you so much for reviewing. Lai.

minuial · 19 November 2010 · Chapter 10: painful awakenings and surprises

It was great to see Glorfindel awakening and on the road to healing. He was, I think, the only one in Imladris who wasn't very surprised about the arrival of the eagles and their passengers. Now to see how Elrond and the twins will return to the land of the living. Good work.

Author's reply

Hi minuial, yes, with Glorfindel on board again all will be fine, or will it? Thank you so much for still reading and the time to review. Lai

minuial · 5 November 2010 · Chapter 9: bad news

Hi. Beautiful chapter. I like the involvement of Celeborn and Galadriel in the story and I love the eagles coming to help (so Celeborn can summon them as Thranduil can? that's good). Looking forward to their arrival in Imladris.

Author's reply

I´m so glad you like the chapter. Galadriel and Celeborn had to be involved by such a tragedy. Yes, I can imagine Celeborn be able to call for the eagles; he´s as ancient as Thranduil and as powerful. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. See you at the arrival in Rivendell. Lai

Mrs.Glorfindel · 29 October 2010 · Chapter 8: reaching home

Hi, I just wanted to say how much I like your story. your story is one of two, that I'm reading on this site right now. it's very dramatic and has all of my favorites, Elrond, the twins , Erestor, Legolas and of course Glorfindel. the only one missing is Estel, but I understand this story happens before he is born. anyway, I can't wait to read more.

Author's reply

*blush* thank you for letting me know. I´m so happy you enjoy my story. I´m glad the tension intented worked. Now that they are at home all will be well, or not? The next chapter is already done so you have not to wait long. Thanks so much for the review. Lai.

minuial · 18 October 2010 · Chapter 7: endurance

Hi. I wonder why Erestor is thinking that Elrond and the twins are lost already. He is a bit pesimistic, isn't he? Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's reply

Hello minuial. Maybe he´s a bit overwhelmed with all the happenings and who should help the three half-elves now? Stay with me and we will see how all involved will adjust. As always thank you so much for still reading and reviewing. I really appreciat any comment. Lai

minuial · 7 October 2010 · Chapter 6: unexpected help

Hi. I like the arrival of Legolas, unexpected but so much needed. Let's hope that things will go up from here (I mean, it can't get any worse, can it?) "g". Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's reply

Hello minuial, I think Erestor could have managed but Lagolas´presence is welcome nonetheless and it can get worse...LOL. Thank you so much for reviewing. Lai

Kathurien · 1 October 2010 · Chapter 5: got you

What a cliffhanger! :-) Hope to see justice done and my favourite elf-lords well again.

Author's reply

justice will be done; after all they are my favourite elves as well. Hope my beta can shorten the time to the next chapter.Thank you so much for reviewing. Lai

minuial · 30 September 2010 · Chapter 5: got you

Hi. You really like angst and putting those dear elves in such dire circumstances, don't you? "g". I liked the chapter even though I think that a warrior like Glorfindel would not be so easily surprised and wounded by those men. Looking forward to see how you get them out of this situation. Good work.

Author's reply

Hello minuial, yes I like this tool and it always workes well..*blink*. You are right about Glorfindel and I struggled with the same question but even Elf-Lords are sometimes not in their best conditions, in this case the worry over Elrond, and so I think it is believable in some way. Stay with me and you will find out how I intent to get them out of the hole I´ve thrown them into. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it. Lai

minuial · 22 September 2010 · Chapter 4: path without light

Hi. Beautiful chapter. I like your description of Glorfindel's feelings and emotions. Looking forward to see what Erestor is doing in his search for the men. Great work.

Author's reply

thank you so much. I´m glad it worked. I could not imagine the elf-Lords without some sort of irritation. The next chapter is almost done. Hope to see you there. Lai.

minuial · 15 September 2010 · Chapter 3: hope destroyed

Hi. Love the twins entrance in the story and what they are trying to do. Let's hope they succeed. And I'm glad that Erestor got angry and he will seek the men and deliver justice. Good work.

Author's reply

thank you. I´m so glad it worked. I know that elves do not seek revenge but I cannot imaginge that they would not wish to bring the men to justice. I think we can have faith in Erestor. Thank you for reviewing. Lai

minuial · 8 September 2010 · Chapter 2: tragedy

Hi. It was good to see that you started posting a new story. And what a beginning! I hope that Glorfindel will find and punish those four men for what they did, not only to Elrond but to the other men from the village as well. And I hope to see the twins sometime in the story. Good work. Looking forward to the new chapters. Thank you.

Author's reply

Hi minuial, I thank you for reviewing. I´m glad to see you again and that you like my new story. Glorfindel will not let the men go unpunished and the twins will of course appear later. The next chapter is nearly made. Until then. Lai
