A lovely way to note this season. Very few fanfic writers deal with Ecthelion; and to see him reach out to his great-grandson and to his favored Captain Thorongil so long after his own death makes for fine storytelling.

Many thanks for your much apreciated review.I have a soft spot for Ecthelion and it troubles me that Aragorn never said goodbye so I was glad I could think of a way to make it happen.I'm so pleased you enjoyed the story.Thank you for your help in encouraging me to write this story.

A charming tale, and a very tender ghost story. I loved the idea of Aragorn seeing Ecthelion one last time, and finally being able to say goodbye to him. Lovely.

Beautiful. You completely fooled me with the identity of the ghost. This is a wonderful addition to your works. Thanks for a Halloween gift.
